Absolutely loving it! Check back on Tuesday and we'll see how right your are. If you're on target, you get written into the critique. If not, I'd have to say good "outside the box" thinking.

If they were just going after Air Force One, Marwan would have picked an easier plane to steal than a Stealth. I figure the plan is to take out multiple targets over the course of several episodes, with CTU and the military unable to locate the stealth. This would support Marwan's statement to Jack about leaders being afraid to be in public, as the rogue stealth will come and get them.

Air Force One is way too obvious a target, especially when they keep flashing the exterior of Air Force One right before and after scenes with the imposter pilot. This is standard 24 distraction.

Marwan's comment about "the President is on a tight schedule" was about the next president, after the current president (and some others) are killed. Marwan plans on Air Force One landing once Edgar looks at the CD. The assasination will take place on the ground, as Marwan is so smart about predicting CTU's response strategy.

MH:

They talked about 9/11 a lot in seasons 2 and 3 not this year that I recall.

Per your speculation...could that F-117 be ARMED? Maybe its cot a nuke on it?

Then again., Marwan has referred to the President being a "target" a couple of times. Then AGAIN, how would he know where Air Force I is?

Ouch...my head hurts!

Going out on a limb here, but the Significant OtherHunter and I have a hunch that Cpt. Anderson's ultimate target won't be Air Force One. They've fed us too many hints for it to be that... it's a plot diversion, a teaser I say. We have no good thoughts as to what Marwan's real target might be...but I like Bill's guess that it might be a cliff-hanger end-of-season to boot. Terrorists trying to wreck the US Economy, though? Nah, that was tried once, and failed.
(BTW, have they ever mentioned 9/11 on '24'? Can't recall.)

The timing is about right ... the renegade pilot will be attempting to Osama bin Laden Air Force 1 just as the first half of the basketball final will be heating up.

I am so addicted to 24. I think I need a group. :)

Thanks for the rehash SH. It's like watching it again, but not having to devote an hour to it!

Bill:

I agree with you about season 3. They had a big problem with maintaining momentum cause they went on haitus from late Jan to early March.

And as far s the "big plan" looks like their gonna shoot down Air Force I. The fake pilot Anderson just took off in a stealth fighter at the end of this lats episode. But htere still may be more after that...wacky!

Jack:

Plenty of good links in the sidebar on this site:

There are people who actually feel that Four has been weak? IMHO, this is the strongest season yet. If you want to visit 24's low water mark, rent discs 2 and 3 of the Season Three - the time when we had to endure Jack running around in the backwaters of Mexico for no particular reason. We're more than halfway through the season, and we STILL don't know what Marwan's big score is. Personally, I think that he's going to try and wreck the US economy. What makes this season so powerful is that I believe Marwan's going to win. My guess is that on episode 24, Jack will learn that the show should have been called 48. I think the season will end with a cliffhanger, and that Jack will have to go after him another full day.
