It would really be nice to see someone in the Senate follow Newt’s advice and call for a censure of Durbin. It would force Dhimmicrats to either renounce him or admit that he speaks for them.

Also intentionally bowdlerized from the oft-cited example of US malfeasance in Gitmo offered by the Durbin and his fellow handwringers on the left is that it is not, in fact, representative of the treatment of all detainees — but was rather part of the interrogation of a particularly important prisoner.

The last two comments confirm something I’ve suspected for a while; the dems think there is no enemy. That, in fact, the enemy is the republicans.

24 hours in one’s own waste is 36 hours less than these people are trained to endure according to information in the al Qaeda training manual captured in England. Is it unpleasant? Yes, so is spinach. Eating spinach is not torture.

The bottom line is that the only people who are saying this is torture are people who wish the enemy to win. Extra-territorial, stateless terrorists do not fall under the Geneval convention. The fact that they’re forced to endure a little discomfort (not torture) and are subsequently defended by the 2nd highest ranking dem in the Senate says all that’s necessary about the priorities of the left in this country.

And you wonder why people accuse you of giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

Exactly the point, Bottoms. The war against Islamofascism is as much as selling “Brand America” as it is about greasing a bunch of twisted jihadists. We can’t tell the world that we’re the good guys, then carry on like the bad guys. That’s how I interprest Durbin’s remark.

Durbin is right on the money, letting the administration and theflag wavers that our image in the world is in tatters.

Chaining a man to the floor of his cell to lie in his own feces and urine is wrong and a stain on our national honor.

Had any country in the world done such a thing to one of our soldiers we’d be hearing calls to nuke that country’s captiol.
