what can I say? A few words of the characteristics of nobility, true and selfless goodness and honour, and even I get all teared up..

it is those values that we are todaying losing, rejecting, yet we need them, to define us. It is this we need to instil into our children, friends, collegues.

My grandfather survived the WWII, and the occupation that followed, and shared I would say the same gentleness, yet commanding presence in my entire childhood.

Thanks

My Dad was a gunner in B-24's during the war and I served in Southeas Asia. Veteran's Day doesn't impress me much. The kids all get the day off from school and the veterans go to work.

My second son is a LCpl in the Marines. My brother served in Vietnam, my father, who will not see another Thanksgiving due to Alzheimers, on Guam in WW2. I am ashamed to say that I am the only one who did not serve.
God bless all who have, do and will, they are the honorable among us.

My father served in the 8th Air Force during WWII and gave to his three children the love of this country. I myself served in the Air Force until medical reasons caused an early retirement.
Thanks for the wonderful article
