Green Bay's troubles are mostly from having an 'old team'. Not from the ineptitude that Detroit suffers as a 'day to day' operating procedure.

Just heard Millen has moved to undo the bonehead move he made 3 years ago. If the Bears have to play the Lions again it may be a harder game than the last time. For hiring Mooch Millen should be fired. Lions are a disgrace; and have been for 4.5 years.

Bears defense is good. If they just had a QB they would be very good team.
Millen has been a big disapointment. He has hired 2 bad coaches back to back. Lions are very bad. But so is the Pack. If they had the Jets they would have the 3 worst teams in pro ball all in one division. I thought Millen would improve the lions not make them worse! Now that the sex party has blown over the Vikes are also hot, er good.

At least Chicago has an NFL team. If you live in the Detroit area...you must suffer.

All good points. Being a season ticket holder I'll be at the game today. Sunny and low 80's. What you failed to mention is that the the Bears defense is a water-downed version of the Bucs D (see Lovie Smith). The Bucs offense play this defense in practice daily. Chris Simms release is slow? we are not watching the same guy. He throws one of the prettiest deep balls in the leaque, although his decision making is not always "spot on". Look for Simms to be hyped for this game after Steve Young qustioned his manhood on national TV.

Bucs 27 Bears 21

(and no I never bet $ on the Bucs)

I remember Bob Avellini, and Vince Evans and Mike Phipps, not to mention Bobby Douglass (who couldn't pass but was quite a good scrambler). Have the Bears ever had a good quarterback? McMahon was fine when he was healthy which was about eight games a year.

I haven't seen the Bears play yet this year. Looks like I'll get to see them in the playoffs. :)
