That is a generalized criticism of this site which more often than not offers pretty balanced commentary. It’s just that when the left shows itself to be totally clueless, I can’t help myself.

BTW - I’ve also blogged about plenty of Republican cluelessness here too - read the archives.

Ya know what. I just figured out why your site just hit 500 trillion posts or whatever you claimed.

It is inflamatory. It riles up folks. Your rhetoric is heated, and therefore - like a good edition of Rush Limbaugh it need not have a single shred of wisdom (though it sometimes can from more level-headed commentors).

Attacking is what we are all about in this country. I came here to possibly hope that there was good discussion on the right. It is often devoid on the left.

Perhaps not just flaming any progressive and thinking that there are some good ideas coming from both sides of the political spectrum would be good.

Perhaps that is not your target audience - maybe they all just hate anyone who thinks more progressively - but your lack of balance seems to be your strength.

Germany paid ? millions of dollars to get a Kidnapped (joke)reporter released in Iraq only to find she had part of the ransom money on her when released. Wake up, it was a setup by the terrorists and a supporter.
Italy has already had the same experience but it resulted in the death of one of the terrorists supporters and should have included the reporter (sic) that set it up.
They aren’t just liberals, they are the enemy of freedom everywhere. Far worse than the Nazi’s and Communists. The terrorists and their supporters are using a religion (if it can be called a religion anymore) in an attempt to take over the world. Life under Nazism or Communism was and would be better than life under Islam.

Just to echo and agree with prior commentators, the left continues to believe Bin Laden is a criminal who has committed criminal acts. If America is dealing with a criminal, then the capture of the culprit solves the danger to society. On the other hand, if Bin Laden is a leader of armed and hostile movement, then capture of a single leader leaves the bulk of the danger in place. Capturing Bin Laden at Tora Bora would have been like blasting the top off an iceberg. If the goal is to make the iceberg disappear, it would have been a good first step but not a final solution.
