[...] **Last night’s “24″ was as good as ever. President Logan is making me sicker, though. For the best in “24″ coverage, go here and here. **Have you seen the new video of Natalee Holloway sitting at a gaming table with Joron? What is a high school girl doing sitting at a gaming table with a cocktail in hand? Natalee’s group had chaperones, but where were they? I find it interesting that no one makes these observations in the reports. Joron is guilty as the day is long. His family comes from money, power and influence in Aruba, and if his family believed for a nanosecond that Joron was not involved in her murder, they would’ve dumped on those other two cretins right out of the gate and moved on with their lives. May Joron live in interesting times. **Did anyone watch “The State of the Black Union” on c-span the other day? I found it hard to believe the MSM failed to cover this story, especially in light of what Rev. Farrakhan had to say. The MSM didn’t miss a chance to mention the plight of blacks when it came to Katrina, but when the so-called black leadership makes outrageous statements, they’re nowhere to be found. La Shawn Barber has a post.–Scroll down a bit. **Barney Fife is gone from our world, but he lives each day on our tv sets. Tonight, TVLand will be having a marathon of the Andy Griffith Show. Here’s a good ad for the show. ** Anyone have an idea what the angle is here? I’m confused. **Thomas Sowell’s latest. [...]

#3 - Steve - I thought the story of Jack's "death" was well-known, a ruse to get the Chinese off his case. The fact he was alive was the well-guarded secret, not his alleged death...Maybe I missed something...

The Clause 112 scene was a direct lift from The Caine Mutiny. But Bogey makes a much more credible psycho commander than the Hobbit. Curtis gives Van Johnson a run for his money, though. Hire Mel Ferrer. Great on cross but a bit of a party pooper.

Am I alone in thinking that the current season of Fox's 24 is the best yet ?

I thought I was the only one noticing the tight blouse on RoboCop's secretary ...

That Robo was waiting to ambush Jack w/ the zapper HAS to track back to Audrey, Chloe, Edgar ... who else knew?? ... I'm leaning towards Audrey for reasons we have not been privy to yet.

The dreaded "Return of Kim" was what Prez Jelly was really praying about ... "Please God NOOOOOO ... not Kim"!

The bad Cheshans all look alike, impossible to tell who's who. I yearn for the days of Marwan The Mummy or Dennis Hopper.

Mike reminds me of a babysitter hired to watch a very spoiled child ... he keeps rolling his eyes and thinking "I don't get paid enough to babysit this pinhead president".

Rick, you asked "How did Buckaroo know that it was Jack"

He's Buckaroo for God's sake, he has traveled through a mountain and lived to tell about it! And you ask how he knew.

Thanks for the memories, love the movie and had hoped for a follow up movie. The music was awesome also.

Sometimes playing with Bigboote in the 8th dimension can rot the brain.

Steve said:
"<i>How could Henderson know about Jack “demise”—which was a closely guarded secret—(or even his “resurrection”), but not know who was in charge of CTU?</i>"

I didn't notice that. Methinks: continuity error? Hard to know what to read into as plot, or as sloppy writing.

Rick, I was playing basically the same pro and con game with the wifie as regards the mutiny. Well presented, sir: always two sides.

If Audrey was somehow the mole (and we've expected a DoD mole now for what, 2 seasons?) then what could her agenda be? CYA? Getting Curtis to do her dirty work for her was clever. Her goal: to use Jack, in fact control Jack, to get to the nerve gas but then somehow to cover her tracks? If she wanted to control Jack by herself (and Chloe & Edgar), then doing it behind the Hobbit's back was proving impossible, so she had to eliminate him. Still... WHY?!? Anyway, Jack would never knowingly cover something up for Audrey... would he? If she was in the bad, then No.Way.

Hmmmm... I think I like the idea of that model-faced chick being the mole better, though she's just a nobody (with which we're sympathetic). Audrey would be much less believable but much more dramatic.

Rock on, Banzai Rick! :D

Martha for President. Maybe the jellyfish can appoint her just as he dies.

I wondered about the driver as well. It's as if he just went away. The scene was a little jumbled up.

Next week is a double.

I just started watching 24 a few weeks ago, so I realize I'm a little behind the information curve on the show. However, I have picked up by reading a lot of the commentary that the blonde chick (Audrey?) is widely despised.

I'm just wondering why, because aside from seeming vacuous at times since I started watching the show, the one thing I've noticed about her is that she's kinda hot.

Plus I discovered last night that former President Palmer is also Pedro Ceranno from the Major League movies.
