At this point I’m pretty convinced that Audrey is innocent. Yes, Nina was cleared and later turned out guilty, but that’s part of why I think they won’t do that again, because they already did that. Plus, Nina was never interrogated the first time…she was cleared based on circumstantial evidence. And my understanding is that they had not even decided to make Nina a mole for real when she was first accused.

As to the Cummings thing, I don’t think that proves anything. It wasn’t even entirely clear that sleeping with Audrey was part of Walt’s plan…Jack said it happened “last April” so it could be completely unrelated, or if it was related I don’t think she had any clue.

I could be wrong, but I feel like Audrey turning out to be guilty would be really unrealistic at this point.

Geoff: Can you imagine what this site would of looked like during the Monica months? Now that would of been a HOOT!

Listened to Rush today, of course, he had on the writers of 24 and it was nice to hear from them. Since they seem to still be hyped maybe we have seasons to come. Hope so.

I still really enjoy the show and this site along with blogs4bauer.

The 24 usenet groups have too much noise and to little signal.

As far as anal-yzing 24 to death, we are a long ways from what I saw on the usenet boards during the run of Babylon5 or the discussions about the meaning(s) of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Well now we have gone and done it, analized 24 to DEATH. Is the word ANAL in analize? If not it should be. What happened to just enjoying the hour? Well, too late, we’ve gone down this road and there’s no getting off it now.

Wrong gas for the job, WHAT, how could they be so stupid, next, if they had a spare canister left over, they could pour in into city water. Bet they didn’t think on that one. It would of been easy, just flush it you idiot!

Jo has offered herself, I think it’s a “her” to Jack. Trouble is Jack is so confused with his women he will probably over look a good cook.

Geoff has a plot line that we overlooked somewhat. It’s the DUPE and the DEEP. Now I am not pointing fingers yet because the DEEPS may have not shown up yet.

Damn, I’m still playing the game.

So Centox is destroyed by the heat of burning natural gas. That means that releasing it thru the gas pipelines would have had it all burn up in everyone’s homes. NG pipes are very unlikely to have leaks so it all would end up in a flame at 1000 to 2000 degrees centigrade.
This, the fact that Henderson and Bierko are working together and Colette having got the plans in advance makes me think that their plan was never to have large numbers of people killed. Dozens they accepted but thousands they seem to have ruled out by the design of the Centox packaging and where they placed it. CTU it would seem was their main target or perhaps Jack. The gas was perfect to destroy the seals that CTU had and Henderson would have known what they had and of course the plot to get the keycard was another that had to have been thought out well in advance.
I also think that, like season 1, the moles will be in pairs. One the “duped” mole like Jamey and one the “deep” mole like Nina. Cummins was the “duped” at the White House and Cloey’s one night stand was the “duped” at CTU. Remains to be seen if Audrey is the “deep” at CTU and the “deep” at the White House probably faked Cummins suicide like Nina did Jamey.

As for Sweet Sherry, darn those CalTech chemists are smart! I’m just a lowly biochem major from Rice U., but what the heck kind of substance would be “made inert” by high pressure? Any CalTech chemists care to speculate on the structure of Syon gas?
