why does little ole whistleblower Mary McCarthy rate such heavy Democratic party artillery?

Just guessing, but maybe it's because that Democrats believe that hauling people off to gulags is immoral.

I know that conservatives have this real bad history of moral relativism, so maybe you just can't understand it

You guys really sound like a bunch of fascists. Mary McCarthy has the right to donate money to any political party. That has no bearing on the merit of the case against her. What is apparent is the concerted effort on the part of Porter Goss to rid the agency of any agents that don't share his political beliefs. People like him put democracy in more peril than any two-bit muslim terrorist ever could. We don't really know who leaked the information about the foreign torture prisons. It could quite possibly have been a conservative. The last I heard, the concern about America's place as a moral leader in the world cuts across party lines. That's why so many thinking Republicans have parted ways with the Bush administration.

The point is that Mary McCarthy isn't nonpartisan. That is the point. We knew already that Libby was a Republican. There was an assertion that McCarthy and a large group of CIA agents were working as nonpartisan workers. McCarthy donates large sums of money to the Democratic party and is now represented by lawyer who has represented Democratic clients before. This simply proves that she was a partisan spook.

McCarthy gets one lawyer while Libby has a multi-million dollar defense fund. And your point is?

Leave it to the Lawyers By the Bear

Here is what one dictionary says about that word: “One who betrays another’s trust or is false to an obligation or duty.” The word so defined is traitor.

[...] It looked suspicious to me this morning when I read Rick Moran’s explanation of just who is representing Mary O. McCarthy. The mere presence of that particular counsel suggested strong ties to the strategic and financial wellsprings of the democratic left. [...]

If the intelligence wasn't faulty then why was there the Iraqi Liberation Act in 1998? It basically stated that we supported those who will try to overthrow of Saddam. ie. encouraging cival war. No offense to both parties but I wish that both Democrats and Republicans clean their own houses instead of pointing how messy the other one's is. Of course, that will never happen because that is not how politics works. How do you tell chimps to stop flinging crap when they are mad? You can't because it is easier to fling crap. This doesn't mean the CIA situation isn't at least a little bit fishy.
