1. There is nothing “crude” about the insults. They are, given the material I’m working off of, mild epithets.

2. As far as being “unfair” to Samuel…you’re kidding, right?

3. What’s there to understand? What “issues” are we talking about here? Samuel’s column was a slap in the face and besides, I thought I gave pretty good rebuttals to most of his main points.

The rest - amusing myself and my readers which means perhaps you should go somewhere else if it is not to your liking.

Your habit of inserting two or three rather crude insults into every sentence that you write renders your text almost unreadable, and conveys a very obvious message that your thesis is a mindless, emotional rant - almost guaranteed to be deeply unfair to the intentions and the meaning of the original text, and utterly useless to anyone seeking understanding of the issues.

Lefties and Anti-americanists around the world still don’t appreciate the contribution of the US Navy in keeping international waters safe and open for global trade. We’re the only country that’s actively fighting piracy, which has made a comeback in recent years. We’re the ones who ensure europe, China and Japan have a free and efficient flow of oil via tankers from the middle east. It was our forces that kept the flow of oil going during the Iran/Iraq war. Our military, and the stability it provides, is what makes global trade and global economics possible. It’s a job that’s never recognized abroad and only rarely here at home.

The “metaphorical wars” that he is talking about never existed. The “Metaphorical Wars” that he speaks so poorly about are the wars waged by the left against false impressions of what a war is for or about, and destroy the basic dignity of America.

Vietnam was ill concieved, but not a bad war, Korea was ill concieved, beutifuly executed and poorly negotiated (thanks to the UN) The failures of War in the recent past have nothing to do with fact living up to the anti-war metaphors he is citing, but rather the cowardice of individuals in power at a time allowing these bad false mixed, and uneducated metaphors to live up to truth.

It is a self fulfilling prophecy. If the nation was filled with McCains, and Wolfowitzes? Iraq WOULD be a functioning democratic nation right now, however, there are enough people like this pissant who have convinced men with lesser matter to believe that therapy is the most important post war trait of conflict.
