"Hysterical and wildly over the top" are exactly the point, there, Little Ricky.

as in the last six years have seen endless streams of hysterical, chicken little conservatives shrieking that the scary brown people are coming to blow us up or make us gay and anyone who says other wise must be some kind of terrorist appeaser, satan-worshipper or other such nonsense.

I just distilled it all into one appropriately ridiculous conceit and let it fly.

Yeah, i can't help but laugh at the new calls from Republicans for "bipartisanship" now that they are the legislative minority.

Especially when, for the last six years under the Repub majority, "bipartisanship" has been a euphemism for "You better sound off that you love, worship and adore George 'By god' Bush or we'll use every bit of media access we have to paint you as a Jesus-hating hummus-eating, latte-drinking islamo-homo-nazi-commie-fascist-evolutionist in front of that very vocal (if not always very articulate) collective chicken-littledom we generally consider to be our base."

Hi Rick,

Does the irony not bother you of chastising "The Left" for being childish gloaters, and then in your comments immediately proceeding to change (unattributed!) the comments of everyone who disagrees with you -- into juvenile crap like "I love al-Qaeda. I have a picture of Osama in my bedroom."? Actually almost everyone (except for the conspiracy nut) had good points.

Since the slaughter, er, election, it's been much more fun to read the Right wing sites than the Lefty ones, because the Right apparently believes that the future of this country now lies in something called "bipartisanship." This new concept seemingly involves giving some respect to the views of the minority party, and not, for example, automatically assuming that they are all treasonous traitors.

Except me of course. I love al-Qaeda. I have a picture of Osama in my bedroom. My mom told me to take it down ,that she wouldn't have such a thing in her house.

Living with your folks can be a drag. Maybe when I'm 35 I'll make be a manager at the 7-11 where I work and then I'll be able to afford my very own place.

What a good idea! Why, I wonder, have they just now thought of it?

I'll remember that when I'mm digging you out from underneath that collapsed building - down as a result of an attack by those "pissants" way, way, way, way, way, over on the other side of the world. The one's who never heard of airplanes or telephones and who live in caves and eat goat shit.

Those pissants?

I'm living in a major metropolitan area. I've put my money where my mouth is. I'm not going to live in fear and jump at shadows, even if you want me to. That would be a pretty pathetic existence. As far as I'm concerned, the terrorists win by terrorizing, not by killing. And I refuse to be terrorized, by them, by you, or by our government.

But I do wet my pants when you get mad, Rick. You are all powerful and I tremble at the prospect of being pilloried by your razor sharp wit and towering intellect.

It really is that simple. You can go on and on about how we ought to be scared, but we aren't. Sorry. This ain't London and this ain't the Blitz. People have held their head high and lived through much scarier times and if you can't then you're a great big pussy.

And since I love pussies, would you please send me a pair of your dirty underwear?

"I’ll remember that when I’mm digging you out from underneath that collapsed building – down as a result of an attack by those “pissants” way, way, way, way, way, over on the other side of the world. The one’s who never heard of airplanes or telephones and who live in caves and eat goat shit."

Do you mean the notorious UBL? The one FBI spokesperson Rex Tomb admitted they don't have enough evidence to indict for the crimes of 9-11? Yet the US invaded two countries, killed 650,000 civillians, 3000 US troops, and spent 330 billion dollars (mol, so far) chasing his ghost? That cavedweller?

Do you mean a building like WTC #7? A 47 story steel framed skscraper not hit by an airplane and yet collapsed into it's own footprint at 5:20 pm on 9-11? The one Lucky Larry Silverstien admitted was "pulled" down on purpose?

Yeah, sure. Bring a shovel. And hit me over the head with it willya? I know I'm just a conspiracy mongering, fascist schmuck but maybe if you whack me upside the head, it will knock some sense into me.

Then again, maybe it will only dent the shovel since my head is made of granite.

[...] Rick Moran continues his post-election spaz over at Right Wing Nut House, chastising us and Firedoglake, as representatives of the Democratic Party (?!), for a lack of bipartisanship and civility, and then losing his last grip on the rail and trying to lecture David Neiwert on the meaning of American democacy. […] Now that the devastating results are coming clear to all but that last deluded 30%, we need to make the words “conservative” and “Republican” forever synonymous with this mess.
Rick,

To bad you don't keep track of the stuff you write. I thought there were archives for this stuff.

How about this attack on the left:

http://rightwingnuthouse.com/archives/2006/02/09/in-defense-of-common-decency/

Which lacks a single mention of the same types of escapades on the right.

And I particularly love this paranoia extravaganza, for which your sole link, as back up, is to a Captain's Quarters story on tire slashing.

http://rightwingnuthouse.com/archives/2006/06/02/make-every-vote-countor-not/

I find you to be one of those "damning with faint praise" conservatives, Rick. You toss in some off the cuff compliment to the author of a piece, and then proceed, often with vitriol, to explain why they are wrongheaded, ignorant (if not stupid), and arrogant. (Odd, that last, given your propensities.)

You are precisely what you purport to be opposed to, only with a thinner veneer of disdain for your fellow Americans. Well done.
