Rick - take a deep breath or two and get a grip! Republican losses were actually LOWER then we had any historic resaon to expect for a year 6 midterm. As a florida voter I’m disapointed in Mel but not surprised Trent’s sins were taken out of contecxt and his punishment was a sacrafice to the PC gods. Today the party needs a wiley old Senator to keep the loony left in check. Know anyone else up to the job?

One of the reasons I stopped voting for Democrats was precisely because of the kinds of things Republicans are doing now.

Let me be the first to apoligize for voting for Martinez for US Senate.
Not long after he began his term as Senator I realized just how wrapped up in the cult of bush I was.
And it began to open my eyes as to what the bush administration was all about. The president did everything the D’s could only imagine and then some:

Now the RNC has rubber-stamped the (formerly) GOP as THE LIBERAL ”Democrat-lite” party.
The RNC have decided that REAL Americans ‘HAVE WAY TOO MUCH FREEDOM’ (think I’m kidding? Go to any airport and see for youself).
While at the same time 101 of ”our troops” died in Oct. ‘06 to try to bring this bastardized ”freedom” to a middle eastern ‘nation’ that cannot even understand what we are seeking to accomplish there…

Well done Mr. Moran. I can’t imagine how the GOP is supposed to move forward with the Archie Bunkerisms of Trent Lott and an open borders shill like Mel Martinez.

If these hasty and ill conceived choices of leadership are anything to go by, it looks as though the Democrats are going to be around for a while, and I canâ€™t even complain about it because thereâ€™s really not much of an alternative.

Bush will now pass his revolting amnesty bill that will allow illegal Mexicans to conga-line dance into the country.
