I got the bus casualties in my first recap. CTU guy who went down before the grenade went off may not be dead. I only put confirmed kills (or announced kills) in the body count.

And there were 2 other attacks along with the attack on the subway that I included.

Didn’t they say several cities on TV’s and did you ever hear a count on the bus explosion?

The grenade guy took out one before blowing up.

I saw on the fox.com/24 website that Curtis is dead also.

HOWEVER, I checked my recording last night and the closing seconds of that episode DID have the tink-thumps as I call them. Usually that’s silent when a major character is killed. Unless they forgot.

Fayad got away to the safe house.

Another moral: call the police when criminals are holding people hostage. They could have gone to the pick up site and dealt with things from there. Mom knew best.

I just got around to the official FOX episode summaries for the first 4 hours. Lennox is called a “special advisor to the President,” not chief of staff. I didn’t think he acted like a chief of staff, who is usually concerned with the politics of decisions rather than doing things like setting up detention centers.

In any case, I don’t like him. And I don’t much trust Karen Hayes. It surely took her a long time to get onboard last season. But maybe By-the-Book has had some influence. Wonder how long they’ve been married.

Question: How are the islamofascists going to arm the other 4 ‘Visitors’ without a nukes expert? Are the terrorists going to trade with Prez Palmer for another, detained elsewhere? Indeed, wife and I reflected on how eager the US is (in 24-Space) to negotiate with terrorists. “We’ll have it in writing within the hour” is heard way too often on this show.

Not crucial, but I believe you have the death count numbers swapped for Boston and the mall in Baltimore - in Balto there were more deaths, including many children. Living nearby, that stuck in my memory.

The haunting vocal cut played during Curtis’ fall, Jack’s ‘purge’ and the nuke detonation really was the final touch that made the scene way too good for T.V., IMHO. I knew I’d heard it before. It’s from the Crash score (Mark Isham). At least I’m pretty sure that’s it. Ironically, the track is entitled “Safe Now”.

Fox today released the first four hours of ‘24′ on DVD — about 12 hours after the last episode ended. The set also includes a 12-minute “preview” of next week’s show.
