		<description>Is this comment spam?  Then, in addition to whatever other spam filtering you are using, add a 'close comments' feature.  You can set them for 21 days or 14 days or whatever. They simply shut off the comment function on old posts. By definition, it chokes the spamming down to a manageable size.
