For every action there is an effect. Cause and effect that is the basis laws of physics and of life. This isn't the first time US looking for short term economic gain or political stability and neglect the suffering/human rights of the naive people of that country.
In the past we supported regimes/governemnts in the middle east that we best for our needs for oil, money, political stability, and not for its people. That's why there is much hatred of America in the middle east, and one of the main reasons why establishing freedom in Iraq has been so hard. All actions have consequences...though they may be unknown at the time, they will always come to fruition in a year or in 50 years. Whether they be a sweet fruit or bitter one depends on our actions.
