		<description>One problem with deploying more troops to Afghanistan is the practical consideration of how do we supply them? Afghanistan is landlocked. All supplies have to come by air or overland through Pakistan or Iran. There are no ports in countries to the north close enough to make supplying through them remotely feasible. Consequently the Afghan War has been a "light footprint" war for reasons other than political ones. Right now we not only supply our troops but our "allies" as well. I'm sure we haven't reached the upper limits of the number of troops we could supply but putting together the logistical capacity to supply an increase in troop numbers would be a nightmare.</description>
