There has been speculation that Josh is actually Phillip's son, instead of Jack's. This is creepy, but no worse than Daniels/Lisa.

Morris still has to atone for arming the bombs, so I don't see much hope for him making it through the day.

And finally, Jack really needs to ditch needle nose for Mariyln, or if he could somehow bring the non-evil sister back from season two, that would be even better.

"ALBANIA FER CRISSAKES! Albania? Quick – name something dangerous that ever came out of Albania. "

Um, international terrorism and organized crime.

Albanian organized crime currently runs a lot of drug, prostitution and human trafficking crime rings in Europe and the US. Search on Rudaj.

Albanian KLA "freedom fighters" were classified as terrorists before. Search on KLA.

Yeah, who would have thought that a US-supported guerilla movement with strong radical islamist ties could ever turn against the US?

The writers did magnificently on a number of fronts, this week, but that Lisa is astonishingly unimaginative for somebody who manages to work inside the most powerful building in the world.

When she wanted to leave the room, so that the Russian spy could get to her PDA, she said "I need to freshen up." Okay, good. But when spyboy said, "But you already took a shower..." she should have said, "Where I come from, a shower is not what we girls mean when we say 'freshen up in the ladies' room.' Here's my PDA. Why don'cha take a peek while I take a leak?" Problem solved.

O'course, that puts a damper on those necessary plot-device tensions.

I hope something untoward happens to her, next week. She's as annoying as Milo was.

> . Here’s this top secret agency that doesn’t have a single Marine on guard.

That's pretty normal for Federal facilities. They had Marine guards when I started at NSA but switched to the white-shirted Federales a few months later (around 1978-79). The white-shirts are the same guys who guard the Capitol. I'd like to see the Congressional hearing the CTU guy tried to argue they need fancier guards than the Congress.

If every super-duper-luper terrorist fighting facility is as secure as CTU, America is in a boatload of crap. Here's this top secret agency that doesn't have a single Marine on guard. It looks like your average, overweight bank security drone is pulling guard duty at CTU. It thought for sure that Jack could take to two guys out guarding him ... if he had the mind to.

At least Nadia no longer has to worry about deciding between Milo and Little Ricky.
Never truer words spoken. So much for one side of the love triangle. I have a feeling Little Rick is going to saddle up his TAC unit at the warehouse and ride to the rescue back at CTU. Maybe Nadia's guarded conversation with Little Rick included a key phrase. The only real question is how many will Jack take out himself once the rescue is underway.

Will the next episode see Morris atoning for his nuke mortal sin by making a suicide charge at one or more of the Menudos to allow Jack to act?

At least Nadia no longer has to worry about deciding between Milo and Little Ricky. As for Chloe & Morris, that has been dragging on too much and for too long. I almost hoped Menudo took him out along with Milo.

A fella' could get lost in Marilyn's eyes...after one look into her eyes, I'm surprised Jack even remembered ol' Needle Nose. I'm still trying to figure out how her path and Josh's will cross during the final three hours, which will somehow bring Jack to both of them...

There had better be one heck of a finale to make up for some of the lag times we've experienced the past few weeks...

Another great review, Rick. Well worth the wait.

First, Rick, no need to apologize for the delay (nice of you to explain, of course). None of us wants you and yours to go up in flames. That only happens to *real* enemies of Jack :).

My speculation is that I'm glad that Chloe isn't the "package" to be, presumably, done away with, and that I think Morris and she will get back together (she never wanted it to end, and now he says he ain't blaming her, so it only needs one more crying jag from her for him to take her into his arms).

I think (and this is probably obvious) that Josh is the currency for which Phillip will trade the repair to the Magnificent Circuit which shall Reveal All of the Russians' Defense (whateverthehell that is). But he could have an ulterior motive to only be disclosed on Day 7.

I predict a meltdown for Nadia, given Milo's sacrifice and her general i'm-in-over-my-head-and-everyone-is-picking-on-me situation through the whole season (not that she's totally wrong about the picking on). And she and Little Ricky really aren't the type for each other.

Milo's gone. He was in the 1st season and then mysteriously wasn't until this year. Did anyone NOT see this coming? Obviously expendable.

Regarding the disappearance and reappearance of Marilyn, Josh and Phillip, I heard something today that explains: James Cromwell had an acting commitment elsewhere, and so the whole thing had to be sorta sandwiched in. We'd like it to be neater, but I guess if they wanted Cromwell, they had to deal with it (and he's a really good actor).

Finally, for now, being all puffed-up over being First going to my head, Lisa's going to implode, blowing the Russian thing. Jack, will of course, get back the omnipotent component, and hopefully get to see Audrey again (she can't help the needle-nose, Rick).

But of course he can't ride into the sunset with her because next January "there will be another Day".
