As usual, great post my friend.
I agree with Fred, who by the way is my man, was waiting for him for awhile now to get in.
I will, if hill or another dem gets the nod, vote for someone else as long as its not a dem or goofy ron paul, might as well vote for hill in that scenerio and get my FREE HEALTHCARE courtesy of all yall hard workin taxpayers.
I agree that obl has been their symbol and wish mcpain could grasp what Thompson was trying to say.
The dems are more dangerous than ever now and another attack is imminent, wish they could see and appreciate this fact, but its getting more obvious the more I listen to left spin c-span, they still call in with such pure hatred of Bush, more hatred than the have for obl, hugo and any REAL dictators out there and that scares the ever lovin crap outta me.
Keep up the good work Rick, love ya man.

Very well written article, Rick Moran with the facts presented exceedingly well. If every American would read and re-read this article they may finally understand, we don't have any choices: WE MUST PERSEVERE against terrorism in the world and the US of A NOW! FRED in '08!!!

It’s time we moved a little closer to the moderate left on the issue of The Long War and begin to place the struggle in a realistic, historical context that will beget policies that give us the opportunity to confront the threat without allowing politics to either diminish or exaggerate it.

NO THANKS. BUSH, ROMNEY AND OTHERS HAVE IT JUST RIGHT. WE DON'T NEED TO MOVE TO THE MODERATE LEFT ON ANY ISSUE, ESPECIALLY NOT TERRORISM.

PLUS, ROMNEY AND BUSH HAVE SIAD ESSENTIALLY THE SAME THING. THIS IS A LONG WAR, A GLOBAL JIHAD WE MUST FIGHT ON MANY FRONTS. MUCH BIGGER THAN ONE MAN OR ONE COUNTRY. WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING?

I am in full agreement. The next President must have the political will to bring together the various houses of government and craft policy that puts the Nation on a long-term war footing. Anything less, and we will lose any advantages we might have generated during the past 6 years.

Our "dance steps" with enemies such as Iran and Syria must change. If we change how we move the dance changes. So far, no President in the last 30 years has been quite so daring.

In addition, the next President must have a Secretary of State who follows that war policy. It appears that today we have a State Department that operates at cross purposes with winning this war, and maintaining a credible alliance with Israel despite the en vogue calls for a "Palestinian state."

well and thoughtful post. While I am not all that sold on Thompson, he moderate well-measured statements on the economy, taxes, and social programs, unlike the other candidates of both the Dem and GOP side (which do not inspire me in the least), are making him more palatable to me every day.
