You mention that he was a computer graphics artist. Perhaps something about being a computer graphics artist can push someone over the edge so they start manufacturing ricin. Perhaps living in a residence hotel is what led to his actions. Perhaps living in Utah can do it. Right now, my speculations are just as useful as yours.
