Being the contrarian that I am…

When it comes to national borders and the real estate enclosed therein, possession is 100% of ownership. The Chinese claimed Tibet and nobody with enough moxie threw them out. Case closed.

In any case, the Tibetan ruler in exile wants to reinstate a Buddhist theocracy. That would be a huge step backwards for Tibetans. Humanity has tried theocracy, look at the mess it causes elsewhere on the planet. In the long run the Tibetans will be better off under a secular government.

Hey thoughtful, we are NOT in a recession really if yall would just stop and think about it. Yep unemployment does have something to do with it but that doesn’t matter to yall or our press who are in the tank for the dems, its so obvious.
I am kinda below middle class, divorced and struggle every now and then but I’m still doing fine and don’t want my gov’t giving me any help, thanks I’ll do it myself. The entitlements are why we are in the shape we are in and yall want to throw more stuff at em, the folks need to learn to stand on their own. Thats what we teach our children for GOD’S sake and then they see everybody being bailed out, ect.
What a SAD lesson indeed.

Let me politely point out that a recession is defined by a lack of economic growth over a defined period of time. It is not defined by unemployment numbers. Your argument therefore makes no sense as constructed. But have a nice day!

Well at least they are consistent: nobody has EVER accused the left of having good manners, have they? My point exactly.

Here’s another interesting contradiction: in 1996 when unemployment was around 5.4% there were kudos aplenty being showered on WJC! Now GWB is in office, unemployment is around 5.1% and we’re in a recession? What a bunch of gormless losers they (the “useful idiot” mainstream media) must think we are!

Unfortunately - it’s true of far too many Americans.
