The folks who write for the LA Times live in an alternate universe, so, in their temporal plane of existence, George Washington really did serve only one term! Need I add that, in the same alternate universe, Jimmy Carter served two terms and is now Ambassador to the United Nations, California has been returned to Mexico as a "token of good will," and Jerry Lewis is universally acclaimed as the comedic genius the French always said he was.
