New laws should say no one over 65 can vote or hold official office. these people are just toooooo old to be able to change their socks or hold office. I sure don't want them to run my country. Get rid of all these old people now!

I am not sure McCain having a mother in her 90's helps much, since his dad has been dead for many years....he is too old...and not only that he is ill tempered old coot. He was a ran around on his first wife when he got back from vietnam, dumped her while she recovered from a terrible car accident and married the younger richer current Mrs. McCain a month later. His friends at the time thought he was a jerk....so somebody please stop the propaganda...McCain is not honorable...he is a power hungry little man...He went to Nam so he could be an admiral like his daddy and grand daddy...he dumped his wife because she was burden to him and married the next to start his political career....Remember Keating? i am sure you don't.

Many young people are disdainful of old age regardless who is wearing it. This will be a problem for McCain. They also are so ignorant of our history and government functions that discussions surrounding those matters are not relevant to them. As a man in my 70's and in excellent health I know something of the problems McCain will experience as he attempts to do the job of president. If he is surrounded by exceptional people who can grasp the natural decline that comes with age he should (baring any extreme failings) be able to fulfill at least the first term with reasonable success.
He must win over middle age and older voters as well as keep the conservative base and convince independents if he is going to have any chance at all.

2 complicated wars

Don't you just long for the good old days when we had simple wars?

Historical note: Truman's adventure in Korea got the same kind of criticism and worse in its day. Was Korea in 1952 a full fledged democracy? It wasn't even half fledged.

So how did that work out almost 60 years later? Any improvements with time?

I always thought that Rs were against static analysis.

Bases in Iraq with restrictions?

How is that different from bases in Germany?

BTW the Dem Congress may be dragging down the Obama brand:

McCain did his foreign thing in front of the only ones that have cause to support him,Mexico City residents. The real question is why the hell the Dems and Repubs chose these two knobs to put up for the nations highest office.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have found out Obama did have a great-uncle who did go to Buchenwald. I am willing to admit I made a gaffe! Simply replace that gaffe with the recent claim he passed a bill in the Banking Committee(when he isn't on it)or one his other 'stretches' and the logic of the this piece stands.

John McCain is NOT "an honorable man". If he can flip-flop on torture, he can flip-flop on anything.
