when did I say Michelle was a victim? Yeah, I know blah, blah, she only got in because of basketball, affirmative action. Middle class, working class what is the difference here? She didn’t come from a background of academics but her family had, IMHO, pretty conservative family values as does her current family. I’m not going to be a cheerleader of her politics but looking at her life’s work I do admire her. Luckily the old guard of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are history as most AAs that I know don’t even take them serious anymore. They just love media attention the way a drug addict needs his fix. Just like so called conservatives named Coulter, Hannity and the likes. Down the toilet with all of them.
Why can’t we have a discussion of how to fix our health care system then all this petty nonsense.

The Dems will be united when the vote comes. Stage one was Hillary opening the door for them. What will herd them through will be attacks on McCain. The PUMA’s are enjoying the attention being paid them, and like any other “victim” group they’re reluctant to do anything that will lessen their celebrity.

McCain will get the Reps, Obama will get the Dems. The Indies will break for Obama because McCain is a man of the past, and in the end this won’t be “experienced” versus “inexperienced,” no matter how much the GOP tries. It’ll be past versus future. Americans vote for the future.

Did you even bother to read what I wrote? Those Democrats - and they are Democrats - will almost all be supporting Obama in November. But I guess the 2,000 who marched for Hillary in downtown Denver were Republican plants, right?

funny man, just how do you thibk that Michelle Obama had to fight her way out of anything? Her father and mother were middle class, and she never lived in any barrio or ghetto. She was accepted to Columbia because her brother was there as a basketball jock. Hardly fighting your way out, now is it. So please, don’t give me the crap that she is some kind of victim that had to pull herself up out of abstract poverty. If you want to know what poverty is like, read Clarence Thomas’s book.

But the fact of the matter is that her father worked his whole life to provide her with an education but now she wants to throw that system of hard work and pride into the toilet and make you and me pay for it all.

In my opinion some Hillary supporters are dragging their feet just as a lot of conservatives are still going to vote for McCain in spite of a lot of things. Frankly, I don’t have the nerve to watch through an entire convention regardless of the party, just too boring. However, I watch the highlights and Hillary gave a good speech just as you have pointed out. I also thought Michelle gave a great speech. I mean politics aside, her story is compelling. I used to live in inner city Detroit for a few years and I know she had to fight her way out. I don’t agree with her politics but I admire her for her accomplishments.
If the Dems keep the focus on economics they will win. That is just my opinion.

Have you seen the set up for the stage and podium at Mile High? What are the Obama people thinking?? Are they that caught up in their own delusions of grandeur that they don’t realize they are playing right into what Americans obviously do not like about their candidate: that he is an arrogant and self-important hack who is not ready? What better way to showcase that character flaw than to have him walk out from beyond a set resembling an ancient Greek temple, deliver a speech to 75,000 Naz…sorry, fans, all of them mindlessly chanting, “Obama, Obama”. This will creep the average American out and he will lose points in the polls over the weekend. I doubt this convention will come anywhere close to a “B-”, let alone an “A+”.
