Palin is too good-looking, she’s pro-choice, she’s got a stud-looking husband, etc. etc.

The hostile feminists won’t see much in her but their own envy.

Republican thinking on this is just as transparent, and just as wrong as yours. She’ll tap the “Clinton vote?” I doubt it. She doesn’t even support the rape and incest exceptions on abortion. She actually manages to have less experience than Obama. She’s unvetted in a national campaign. She’ll be seen as anti-environment. And she’ll be seen, I suspect, as a condescending pander.

She’ll somehow attract Democratic women? How is that exactly? is it that women are so dumb they can’t busy their little heads with issues but will vote for anyone with two X chromosomes?

How the mighty have fallen. The GOP reduced to setting lame gender traps for Clinton voters.

It’s interesting that you think Obama did well the speech.

The Jewish anti-american hate site littlegreenfootballs has been criticizing Pat Buchanan for also making analytical remarks.

You should see some of the hate in the comments section. It’s amazing the LGF people actually think they are conservatives, when they are leftists and trotskyists. Others there are such full blown zionist racists, it makes one wonder why they bother to live in the United States of America where this kind of stuff is not what we stand for.

Only Marxists and Democrats will remember Obama’s speech. Everyone will remember Palin. Energy is “the” issue this year and Palin has it wrapped.
Remember, internal polls always end up with about 60+% of the folks in the country being conservative - McCain’s pick put that on center and will highlight in stark contrast, the difference between the real deal and just another Dem running a stealth campaign pretending to be Reagan.
Oh by the way, what was it that Obama talked about Thursday?

The selection of Palin is brilliant and it caught everyone by surprise, which is why you are seeing so many Dems stumbling around trying to put a negative spin. If she were a bad choice they had anticipated we would be hearing clucks of delight. I think they are scared. She strikes me as someone with experience, tough and used to mixing it up with her own party, so say nothing of the opposition. And her husband is a steelworker. Can you think of a better way to tap the Clinton blue collar base than this?

I’d give the speech a B+, but I think he did exactly what he had to do.

Most importantly, it spurred McCain to throw the biggest hail-mary I’ve seen in a long time and pick Palin as his running mate. When Republicans are listing things like “she’s easy on the eyes” and “hopefully Biden will go easy on her in the debate because she’s a woman,” it doesn’t bode well…

I’d maybe make it a straight “B.” I agree with you assessment in general and even agree that he’ll run out a 5-6 point lead.

The Palin thing rests on a knife edge. Could end up looking like Republican affirmative action. Or she could charm her way into America’s heart. I doubt it will matter much either way.
