Ah, and the whole country gets a taste of Chicago-style politics. Can't wait for some of their other tactics to emerge; someone will "drop out" of politics stating "family concerns" (the reality: threats to his family), documents will go missing (the reality: hidden, if not shredded), someone will be found um, expired by his own hand (the reality: you know), etc.

I miss the CITY of Chicago, but not the politics.

Rick,

Sometimes I don't get you. Usually you write very sound and cogent stuff.

And then you write things like this.

This entire piece reads like a Republican Conspiracy Theory. Lots of vague accusations with no actual evidence of real wrongdoing that anyone should care about. Words like "apparently" and phrases like "No one knows how" permeate this piece.

What crimes did the Obama campaign commit? Specifics would be nice. Paying money to a ACORN affiliated organization during the primary is not a crime.

Bogus voter registrations will be virtually eliminated by the various Secs of State of the various states. While I'm sure some will get through how is this any different than past elections on both sides?

For much of the past 8 years I have argued with my fellow Liberals that W didn't win Florida because of the Supremes or Katherine Harris, although the Supremes certainly unethically finished the job. Bush won because he was the guy leading to start and it was going to be virtually impossible for the Democrats to overturn that lead realistically speaking.

So now you are showing that Republicans are just as good at the "The other guys stole the election" as Democrats. Heck you aren't even waiting for the actual election to occur before you start making your accusations. You create your own alternate reality in which we have, yet again, an effective tie in the race that boils down to a State that the Democrats hold sway.

I really hope this piece was just a political parody.

"Sue over the results and let the Supreme Court hand him the presidency."

Uhh...Gore sprinted to court first, after two or three recounts didn't quite work out. The FL Supremes nearly got away with selecting him.

But, the wizards of vote fraud have another bite of the apple, or ACORN.

Cordially...

What a load of crap. All voter registrations have to be verified, and ACORN separates those they cannot verify themselves and hand them over to be examined by authorities.

Republicans are just setting up and excuse for their coming butt whoopin' at the polls.

I've got another fairy tale - like the one where ACORN separates those (giggle) they cannot verify (guffaw) themselves and ... and...

Oh, God. I can't finish. Too funny.

Anyway, ever hear of Cinderalla?

Rick, you are far more astute than me, but I really have to question your assertion that McCain and Obama are "locked in an extremely tight race." Would you mind explaining? I just don't see how ACORN or anything else possibly cost Obama the election at this point even if the MSM began reporting negative news.

At this point, the scenario is admittedly farfetched. But stranger things have happened in politics. And regardless, Ohio is going to be very close at the end unless McCain really falls off a cliff - possible but not likely.

"Of course, this scenario is not credible, is it? No Secretary of State would act so brazenly, right?"

Would the actions of one Katherine Harris, Flordia Secretary of State circa 2000, count as evidence to support this thesis?

Excellent post. Our founding fathers went to war with England over the lack of representation. This situation is in NO WAY different. When your vote doesn't really count, you are no longer in a democracy, and tyranny rules.

I'm not advocating a revolution, I am only pointing out the seriousness of voter fraud- nothing is more foundational to our republic than the integrity of our elections. Since the executive branch enforces the law (one which will be unlikely to enforce the law against itself), you no longer have a president, you have a king.

So tell me, Rick... having read your post yesterday and now this one today, if the scenario of your first 3 paragraphs plays out, are you still going to support your elected president, er, king?
