No need to be defensive. Illinois may very well have it’s share of shady pols, but believe me, it doesn’t hold a candle to my state, the Republic of Texas. The home of “Landslide Lyndon” and other politicians of that ilk takes a back seat to no one. Oh, Louisiana has tried, Michigan had a good run, and Illinois is in the news right now. But they are all imposters to the throne. I will not attempt to list the many fraudulent elections, complete with newly-found ballots, we have had here. Nor will I even half-heartedly try to list the names of all the crooks, liars,cheats and sorry-a## folks who have run or been elected to office here in Texas. Suffice it to say, we’ve had our share, and then some, brother.
So forget about the claim that Illinois is the worst. Here in Texas, everything is bigger, including our crooked politicians. We own the title, we fought for it, we cheated for it, and by God, it’s ours.
