You publish too many falsehoods for me to donate.

And the health care lies really piss me off as my family is in the pre existing condition category.

Dear Rick, I am a long-time reader. I am a bleeding heart liberal tree hugger. I have been the local chairman of the Sierra Club and the national Sierra Club energy committee. Even so I think your blog is one of the more enlightened ones. I do not always agree with you but I agree with your methods of thinking and of communicating. If we had more people looking for solutions rather than casting aspersions our society would be better off.

I admire you work here and at American Thinker. I didn’t give much - but I make $30000 less than I did last year. No silver linings in sight - but at least I still have a job. My mom lives with us and is frail and has to be looked after - my husband stays home to do this. I had the job with Health insurance. Your skills are too good to give away for free, or at least without a bit of shameless soliciting. My advice is, admit you were wrong to swear off fundraising, and move forward with a healthy dose of daily reminders of how much joy your readers get from the colorful and complex inner workings of your brain.

Take a lesson from your friend Stacy McCain, who is undoubtledly the most shameless writer in the blogosphere. Solicit early and often!
