It apparently got very hot for them on the way out of Devil's Den; the Rebs snuck in a sniper or two, and our artillery couldn't make a move without getting peppered with rifle fire.  They managed to fire off a few cannon, and one of them must have hit its target, because the snipers laid off afterward...</description>

		<description>More misery - I hear that a family that lives on Culp Hill has split over the war.  Rumor has it that the boy with the Rebs is at the base of the hill, trying to take it.  It would be typical of this war if he were to be killed in sight of his own home.</description>
