A REAL (ANTI) AMERICAN

Eddie,

I’m just wondering whether your real problem is with the system of justice in America.

I don't think Rick has a problem with our system of justice, but clearly he and many others, myself included, have a major problem with an officer of the court conspiring with convicted terrorists in order to kill more people. The blind shiek and his co-conspirators had a right to legal cousel, and Stewart had the right to defend him. No one, however, has the "right" to aid and abet foreign terrorists committed to killing Americans.

But even more importantly, you seem to think that there should be no due process in this country, because whatever Ms. Stewart might be characterized, she was a defender of the rights of individuals whose rights are protected by the very Constitution that you seem not to be very comfortable with and are only too ready to discard.

If you're going make such an accusation, back it up with the appropriate citation, pal. Other than your impression that Rick "seems" to think due process takes a backseat to meting out punishment arbitrarily to an anti-American terrorist sympathizer, where exactly does he claim she never deserved her day in court? Personally, I think a short length of rope and a tall tree were in order for Stewart, but that's me, not the author.

Perhaps it is you that does not love America.

If you're trying to provoke an argument, you need to be less transparent. If you're trying to defend Stewart, look up the history on her indictment, trial and conviction. Then come back here and tell us exactly how this person didn't hate the United States and despise her fellow Americans.

IN THE NEWS

Congratulations. With luck, this will bring your efforts the attention they deserve.

Tell Captain Ed to stuff it. Rightwing Nuthouse is a great name.

ONE LITTLE, TWO LITTLE, THREE LITTLE TERRORISTS...

If democratic reform efforts in Muslim majority nations progress over the next five years, political participation probably would drive a wedge between intransigent extremists and groups willing to use the political process to achieve their local objectives. Nonetheless, attendant reforms and potentially destabilizing transitions will create new opportunities for jihadists to exploit.

Substitute "multicutural education inititiatives" for "democratic reform efforts" and "Western" for "Muslim majority" and this could very well be aquote from Al Quaeda's intelligence estimate.

NASRALLAH CALLS FOR "NEW GOVERNMENT"

For some reason, that picture remainds of the Minnesota Death Rally/Memorial Service back in October '02.

THE POPE'S DILEMMA

Where are all these moderate Muslims we've heard so much about the last five years?

By moderate, do you mean the Muslims who explain or justify suicide bombings and the murder of school children by alluding to Zionism, Western policies, etc., as opposed to those who actually commit these atrocities? If so, please clarify. It's imperative that we be really, really specific when discussing moderation in the interfaith dialogue.

I hope you'll excuse the sarcasm, but a lot of people have searched high and low for several years to find this fabled "moderate Islam" and have been tragically disappointed. The legacy of that effort has been universal condemnation and self-flagellation over the slightest offense to the so-called "religion of peace."

What we've lost in the process is freedom to criticize a philosophy that encourages the subjugation of non-adherants and violently suppresses all dissent or heresy. Were I an illiterate goatherder in Pakistan, I wouldn't find any of this particularly odious. But I'm a product of the same society and culture you are, and am therefore disinclined to eat the bologna sandwich that goes by the name of "moderate Islam."

HAS THE POPE THROWN DOWN THE GAUNTLET TO ISLAM?

I'm not Catholic, but as a Christian I recognize the Pope's influence in matters of religion, if not his authority.

That being said, I was extremely disappointed to learn that he apologized to the retarded pigs throwing yet another global temper tantrum on the same day my daughter was baptized. There are some explanations floating around that his remarks were mistranslated, which is why these people are still attacking churches, killing nuns and issuing fatwas. But it seems as though he did give in to their demands.

If we can't count on the Pope to honestly and unapologetically distinguish bewteen a faith that promises hope and one that guarantees destruction, who can we count on?

COWARDLY DEMOCRATS REFUSE TO ENGAGE ON TERROR DEBATE

SF,

I imagine when we see one or two American cities go up in flames because we've tried fighting this war on our enemy's terms, there won't be a whole hell of a lot more debate on the merits of torturing terrorists.

9/10: A DEFINITIONAL DAY FOR THE LEFT

The great divide in American politics between 9/10 liberals and 9/12 conservatives may prove to be our undoing in the War on Terror unless some kind of consensus can be reached that bridges the chasm between those days.

It behooves us to consider the possibility that the September 11 atrocities were indeed more successful than we are willing to admit.

I certainly would never expect any of our domestic political opponents to acknowledge they're being played by international jihadists. But when they sandbag EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT by the Bush administration to safeguard the country, it starts looking less like cynical political opportunism and more like complicity with enemies of the United States.

In any case, this country is divided in ways I would never have thought possible in a September 10th world. When half the country sees the other half as a greater threat than religious fanatics who travel the world leaving a trail of mass murder in their wake, we are faced a set of political conflicts that must be resolved before the United States can defeat Islamofascism.

"THE PATH TO 9/11" PRE POST MORTEM

Your audience needs to read Orwell's 1984. That should provide them with the kind of insight to understand what the Dhimmicrats are doing viz. the attempted extortion of ABC.
