OCTOBER 5: A DAY OF PEACE, LOVE, AND MASS MASTURBATION
CATEGORY: Moonbats

I am grateful to Michelle Malkin for giving me something to write about this morning. She reminds us that tomorrow is a very special day for those among us who become unhinged at the very thought of George W. Bush’s existence.

It is being billed as “A Day of Mass Resistance.” Methinks they cut that thought a little short. Perhaps a more accurate description of tomorrow’s festivities would be “A Day of Mass Resistance to Reality” or perhaps “A Day to Indulge Oneself in an Orgy of Self Pleasuring.” The movement bills itself as “The World Can’t Wait” and they seek to “Drive out the Bush Regime:”

World Can’t Wait is organizing people living in the United States to take responsibility to stop the whole disastrous course led by the Bush administration. We seek to create a political situation where the Bush administration’s program is repudiated, where Bush himself is driven from office, and where the whole direction he has been taking U.S. society is reversed.

We seek to mobilize millions to express their outrage, to speak the truth, to act with urgency and form an organized political resistance. We welcome any individuals and groups who agree that the Bush Regime should be driven out, whatever their political party affiliation or lack thereof. We reach out to people who have been fooled by Bush, and to those who have been most seriously affected by the outrages inflicted by the Bush Regime.

How this “political resistance” will “drive Bush from office” is left kind of vague. Given the self-loving proclivities of this self-important, self-serving, self-dramatizing bunch of dim witted nincompoops, perhaps they plan a “stroke in” of some kind. They seem to be so in love with their own towering conceits regarding Bush, America, and those of us who have been “fooled” by the President that it wouldn’t surprise me if they practiced a little self-actualization by having a “diddle-off” – sexual energy being such a positive force to throw against the evil madness of tyrant George.

Nothing gives the BDS crowd more orgasmic satisfaction than fantasies of having the power to bring down and grind into the dust with their jackboots the object of their obsessive hate. It is not unusual for Presidents to engender strong feelings of intense dislike amongst their ideological and party opponents. Goes with the job. Just ask Roosevelt who, despite a popularity with the general public that any President would envy, nevertheless raised the hackles of a goodly number of hard core Republicans to his dying day. Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, and Bill Clinton also elicited strong feelings of hate and loathing among a sizable segment of the the population.

Part of the reason for this hate has to do with the times they lived in, of course. Some of it was personality driven. Much of the unreasoning hatred directed at Bill Clinton was generational.

But BDS is an entirely different animal. Part of the reason for it must certainly include the fact that the hard left feels itself powerless, having been summarily given the boot from American politics for much of the last quarter century. Most Democrats today tend to trim their sails toward the center whenever they can thus enraging the netnuts and filling the intellectual left with disgust. For that reason, it appears that they must overly dramatize in their own minds how truly bad things are in America. The “Not in Our Name Statement of Conscience” reveals a mass delusion of jaw dropping proportions:

“No election, whether fair or fraudulent, can legitimize criminal wars on foreign countries, torture, the wholesale violation of human rights, and the end of science and reason.”

“It is our responsibility to stop the Bush regime from carrying out this disastrous course. We believe history will judge us sharply should we fail to act decisively.”

“The end of science and reason?” This should come as news to to the two Americans who just won the Nobel Prize for Physics. And despite the pitiful attempts of creationists and ID’ers to overturn rational thought, the inroads they have made in the last 6 years have been few and far between. More worrisome has been the politicization of science – not in the name of religion but in the name of advancing a specific political agenda. This is not new, by the way, as the government has bullied nutritionists, tobacco companies, Kyoto skeptics, and others for 30 years. But as long as you agree with that kind of interference, it apparently places the government on the side of the angels of science when in fact, it has constituted a war against reason that has been fought by both liberals and conservatives since the 1970’s.

The bottom line to all this drama is that for these, the most unbalanced of Americans, only by fantasizing that liberty and freedom have been snatched away by the Dark Lord Bush can their own overly heroic self image be justified. This is much more than derangement. It is a challenge to rationality itself.

Think about it. A sizable segment of the population has substituted a reality so out of kilter with observable truths that they seem to be willing to take extra-constitutional measures to overturn a fantasy world they have created in their own minds. Any challenges to this worldview is seen as trickery – either the “lapdog” press is deliberately withholding the “truth” of what’s going on or there is a conspiracy among the elites to keep the people in ignorance. No contrary information is allowed to penetrate the ongoing narrative that posits a belief in the heroic nature of those privileged enough to be in the know, blessed with that special knowledge that their fellow citizens are either too blind or too stupid to grasp. Such counter-arguments are heresy and not to be allowed to shed light into the shadow world their minds inhabit.

We can laugh at them – while shuddering with disgust at their hubris. In the end, they are harmless clowns whose act has a limited run. On January 20, 2009, they will be able to fold their tents and go back to their dull, dreary existence as ordinary citizens with fond memories of their time when they saw themselves as saviors of the Republic.

    For the record

Democrats don’t hate Bush. They hate what he is doing to this country. They hate the fact that six thousand Americans (in six years) have died since this media hound of a selected President took office. They hate the very things that Republicans love Bush for. They hate the fact that this President opened our borders, busted the budget and got us into a war that caused gasoline prices rise. Republicans love Bush because gasoline prices are dropping and he promises to cut the deficit that he created in half.
The Dow hit a record high (11,727) yesterday (Tuesday) but it is not a big thing. Since Bush43 took power the Dow has gained about 1,250 points (roughly 11%) in almost six years. Republicans love this. Under Clinton the Dow climbed 7,000 points as it more than tripled in 8 years. By contrast it gained about 1,000 points (46%) under Bush41 (in four years) and 1,400 points (a 2.4 fold increase) under Reagan. This means that under Bush43 the Dow is having its worst performance in twenty years. Neil Cavuto is touting this new high as proof that the Bush43 Economy is firing on all cylinders. Intel, GM and Ford may differ. The Dow hitting this new high nearly six years after Bush took office is proof that this economy sucks. New highs were hit every year of Clinton’s Administration. It only took twenty-one months for the Reagan Administration, four years for the Nixon Administration and a couple of months for the Bush41 Administration. In the last fifty years only Carter saw a worst performance. Republicans hated Bill Clinton because he won two elections, balanced the budget, saw 20,000,000 jobs created on his watch and saw poverty and crime drop. Republicans love Bush because three million jobs were created in six years and they were able to propagandize America, which resulted in putting the most incompetent boob in office in my lifetime. This truth is seen as Bush Bashing. That lie of a movie, “Path to 9/11” is seen as great truth by the Right. The Right needs lies. It’s the only way that they can get elected. The Right sees the truth as liberal bias. There lies only work because the media bends over and lets them have their way with them. I used to think that Republicans were mostly harmless. Individually this is true. Incompetence needs a monopolistic well-established network to make incompetence succeed. In mass their group think Fascism has caused nearly 100,000 deaths around the World in the last six years. All this carnage on a pack of Bush lies. They have only just begun.

And any excuse that larry in LA gives is nothing but an excuse (larry, just a guess but I would bet that if wall street took the same hit during clinton that bush had, the dow wouldn’t have faired any better). And, if you do your research, the market was dropping WELL before the 2000 election.

Apparently I blog among the ignorant. Yes it is true that the markets were in a tailspin by the time Bush was selected. That dive was caused by none other than Republican Alan Greenspan when he raised interest rates up to 6.5% during a time when inflation was lower than it is today. Alan did it to get George in the White House. If you brainiacs check the records you will find that the markets dropped right up to 911 and rallied after the attack on America. The rally ended when Bush started to talk about going to war against Iraq. This may be hard on the Republicans reading this. It’s called the truth. Once Bush was in that grand office Alan lowered rates down to 1% so that Bush could claim that his tax cut brought the economy back. The con was on. A Republican killed the Stock Markets to get another incompetent Republican in White House. Republicans always abuse the power they have in order to gain more power. But a funny thing happened on the way to prosperity. The rich folks took those tax cut and invested them overseas. The Con did not bring the economy back. Lies and Swift Boat Vets (one and the same) did finally make Bush legitimate four years later. The media was complacent in that con in that they switched the topic to non-actionable “values issues” late in the 2004 Presidential campaign. Check the records! Larry doesn’t forget.

You might want to ask Bush that Question. Oh! and, just say no man.

    To: Marv the Bush lover

Well lets look at the facts. On January 22, 2001, Bush was hours into his fraudulently gained Administration and the Dow was trading at an intra day high of 10,749 points and would reach 11,299 by May 21. On September 5, 2001 the Dow’s intra day high had dropped to10,140 (1159 points lower ). By the 10th of September, five days later and one day before 911 it was falling like a rock, down another 600 points to 9,740 (a drop of 1559 total). That’s a 14 % decline on his watch. This was after most of the tax rebate checks were mailed, after the Fed rate drops and the lowering of the estate tax. Bush had signed a 1.3 trillion-tax relief deal. From September 11th thru September 21 the Dow fell another 1200 down to 8,484 from where it rallied 1,775 points to 10,259 by January 4, 2002. The drums of war began to beat against Iraq and the rest is history, not conspiracy. I invite you to check the Fed’s and Dow charts. If you check history, economies tend to rally after disasters because the rich are forced to spend money thereby putting currency into circulation that otherwise would have sat in some investment fund. Take your rose colored glasses off. Stop drinking cool aid from the Republican punch bowl and breathe a little truth. I suppose the next thing you’ll tell me is Bush’s tax cuts lowered the deficit.

Well, I guess you told me but I’m not the one with poop for brains. And go wash your mouth out with soap. Children have access to this site. In peace I offer you a tic tac.

Now, back to the real world. I suppose the fact that the Republicans had Ms. Harris, the 7 to 2 Republican Supreme Court, the lap dog media, talk radio and Jeb Bush on their side had nothing to do with putting the most incompetent leader in our lifetime in the White House. Every recount put Al closer so the Court decided to let partisan election protocol overrule the peoples will, before the truth was revealed. They could have stood tall and ordered a final one standard recount to end the controversy. Instead they put their boy in. After the Dubya insertion was complete the media finally did a recount of the ballots (the ones that Republicans wanted destroyed). They counted the ballots 7 different ways, 6 using other State’s standards (including Texas). Al Gore won all six. The seventh count was the “Gore standard” that was found to be unconstitutional because it treated ballots differently just as the official count did. Bush won that fraudulent count and the unconstitutional official count (Bush standard?) as well. The Court ruled that time had run out. By law the theft was legit. That does not make it right. If the Democrats had done what the Republicans did you would be standing tall in an upright position saying the same thing that I am saying. I would be saying it to.

I just came across this post and Larry the idiot is delussional and living in his own world.

Al Gore lost EVERY recount Larry the idiot:
    ————————————————————————-
    An Online NewsHour Report

More than three months after Democrat Al Gore conceded the hotly contested 2000 election, an independent hand recount of Florida’s ballots released today says he would have lost anyway, even if officials would have allowed the hand count he requested.

In the first full study of Florida’s ballots since the election ended, The Miami Herald and USA Today reported George W. Bush would have widened his 537-vote victory to a 1,665-vote margin if the recount ordered by the Florida Supreme Court would have been allowed to continue, using standards that would have allowed even faintly dimpled “undervotes”—ballots the voter has noticeably indented but had not punched all the way through—to be counted.
