Any fair minded person perusing this blog and its comments will see I allow plenty of leeway for people to criticize what I write – my ideas included. Anyone who tries to argue otherwise hasn’t read the comments, period. But I will not abide personal insults nor insults to other commenters. And if you have problem putting more than 3 words together in the English language, do not fill the void with expletives.
Comments will be open until I get sick of the trolls again – probably a couple of weeks. I figure life is to short to have to endure the aggravations caused by of half wits, nitwits, and peawits.

Gosh, Rick, I hate to see you get upset over what we’ve been enduring for the last almost four years.
Keep your chin up, enforce the rules, and shut off comments completely if it bothers you.

At least I’ve learned from the past that the anger passes, you’lll relent and reopen up the comments. There are those of us who think you do outstanding work and enjoy telling you that. Understand the frustration though- if only you could reach through that computer monitor…

Keep bloggin’. BTW, I have no problem with complete control over comments (especially when the alternative is turning them off). You don’t like a comment? Delete it. You don’t “owe” anyone else a voice. McDonald’s doesn’t “owe” Burger King space for a rebuttal, do they?

I don’t like insults directed at me or other commenters. I don’t like obscenities on my blog.
That’s it. That’s the criteria for banning. You hint that if I don’t like what a commenter says, I’ll delete it.
Pretty idiotic notion considering all you have to do is look at any post on this blog to see people skewering me for all sorts of things.
Kind of makes you look silly…
