The following is a comment published on the Left Coaster web site.
Israel should not appologize nor should the US. We should continue mass bombings. When and only when the radical Arabs and Muslims decide to fight by following the Geneva convention should we begin to even care about who dies. Women and children? So what! Their husband or father was out firing rockets so they are legit targets. TO win a war you destroy the opposition. This means the population. If they don't want to die then surrender.
All you libs are the same. Just a bunch of crybabies who only want to see the US and Israel punished. Not once in this article was it mentioned that the enemy hides near these houses. They refuse towear uniforms and hide behind a child. And since when should grown woem be spared anyway? They pull triggers and wear suicide bomb vests. When they surrender then we should stop.
And by the way, cut the satan, hell and other religious crap. Since when do you belive in God or religion anyway? You would be the first person to prevent me from saying God in a school yet you bring it up when you want.
If it is the US and Israel against the world then I hope you leave to join the enemy. We are in WW3 and you better realize this or you'll end up dead.

Please be specific, I would really like to know.
If the threat stuff is real, it's bad. And wrong.
However, I have listened to Rush (Clinton had Vince Foster Killed) Savage (they are vermin), Killer Coulter (death to my enemies) and MM (lists personal info on the web of her opponents) say or endorse the same violent stuff for years.
All this crap needs to stop on both sides.
America is at war. People who try to divide Americans in a time of war are actually giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Mike Savage (the number 3 or 4 Right Wing talker) uses hate speech in each and every show. He brags about it and typically calls for the violent elimination of any and all he disagrees with. So do not say this kind of stuff is not done. It is done all the time in the Media including blogs without fear of consequences.
Thinking that your opponents don't really mean to do you harm when they say they will is dangerous. Even if the writer is "kidding", some deranged reader may act on what their hero has written or said. This is the reason we have laws against incitement to riot.
Btw, Ann C's repeated suggestion that a certain Supreme Court judge should be given rat poison is not funny in the least. Rat poison causes widespread internal bleeding that is painful and deadly. If you think that poisoning jokes are funny, then please get professional help. It reflects poorly on you if you defend this type of "joke".
Part of threat assesment involves evaluation of the general vs. the specific nature of the threat. Threating murder using a specific, nasty method is more dangerous and should be taken more seriously than some general statement.
Moving to another issue: When a bloger on the Left uses a term or says something you do not agree with, you state that is done by the LEFT. One or two blogers does not equal a movement. I read lots of blogs on both the Left and the Right and frequently I have never heard of what you are saying is a generalized problem.
Labels are lazy; try being specific and stop relying of the crutch of "the LEFT". It's like saying "er" over and over when giving a speech.
I enjoy your writing but the above article is long on personal attack and short on specific examples. Convince me with evidence not flowery language.

Why always the personal attacks?....."Mexican moonbats." Labels are lazy. Can't anybody make a decent argument without personal attacks? This kind of stuff makes Independents like me want to vote for the other guy.
"Thuggish street brawlers"? (TSB) Oh please. Stop being so sensitive. Nothing in this article lists any violence what so ever unless you consider, "fist pumping and flag wavinging" to be TSB. Scary! Actually seems to be pretty civilized so far.
Most of this article is a rehash of tired talking points and rehash of old grievences.
It must be my turn to use a lable: This article could have been written by someone with a middle sized monkey brain.

This ideological conformism has reached the juvenile. The NCAA has appointed itself as the protector of the sensitivities of people the NCAA couldn't give two hoots about: Native Americans.
Wasn't it the communist party that said that "all will be judged politically?"
It's no longer enough to participate and play basketball well; one now has to be ideologically pure.
