PRESIDENT OBAMA HATES WHITE PEOPLE AND WANTS THEM TO DIE

Filed under: Blogging, Government, KATRINA, Politics — Rick Moran @ 2:22 pm

With nearly 1.5 million people in the mid-west without power during a cold snap, what other possible reason is there that this new “competent” administration and FEMA would be failing so spectacularly in helping in this natural disaster?

IT’S GOT TO BE THAT OBAMA HATES WHITE PEOPLE AND WANTS THEM TO DIE!

Of course, I am just aping what lefty blogs were saying about Bush less than 24 hours after Katrina’s hurricane winds stopped blowing. But AP is reporting that Midwest disaster relief people are none too pleased with our new president’s FEMA.

In Kentucky’s Grayson County, there are 25 National Guardsmen there to help - but no chain saws to cut away fallen limbs and trees. EM Director Randell Smith is quoted as saying, “We’ve got people out in some areas we haven’t even visited yet,” Smith said. “We don’t even know that they’re alive.”

Smith is also quoted as saying that FEMA is a “no show.”

And then there’s this:

FEMA spokeswoman Mary Hudak said some agency workers had begun working Friday in Kentucky and more help was on the way. Hudak said FEMA also has shipped 50 to 100 generators to the state to supply electricity to such facilities as hospitals, nursing homes and water treatment plants.

“We have plenty of folks ready to go, but there are some limitations with roads closed and icy conditions,” she noted.

Gee - you mean the conditions of the roads has something to do with FEMA’s response time? Now, don’t you wonder what the roads near New Orleans looked like after a Category 4 storm made landfall?  If you listened to all the screaming coming from the left about FEMA inaction, you would have to believe that those roads were as clean as a whistle, just like driving down the Interstate on a summer day. The only reason FEMA failed was because George Bush HATED BLACK PEOPLE AND WANTED THEM TO DIE!  And in this case, FEMA is being stopped by a few trees, not roads made impassable due to flooding and other debris.

Here we are, 5 days after the storm ended and STILL NO FEMA? I demand a Congressional investigation. And let’s get all the anchors and media people down here pronto. People’s lives are at stake. For all we know, there are babies being eaten and people jumping off their roofs committing suicide because FEMA is nowhere to be found.

And where is our president? Shouldn’t he be visiting these ravaged areas? It must be that he HATES WHITE PEOPLE AND WANTS THEM TO DIE. That is the only possible explanation for this incredible failure of our national government to relieve the suffering of these people.

Isn’t it interesting that now that we have a Democrat as president that all of a sudden, disaster relief is a state and local matter and the federal government should stand aside and allow them to do their jobs?

Just wondering…

How long until Oprah’s marketing strategy, better known as Barry Dunham, becomes a complete joke and is driven from office?

His Porkulus Bill is just that: it will stimulate DNC constituencies with very, very little else.

This man is a sham - he is not fit to be president. A leftist lawyer with virtually no experience and simply the gift of gab. He can talk his way out of anything. But nevertheless, his basic, core philosophy is anti-American and statist.

  3. I bet Obama is sitting in his cozy White House with the HEAT TURNED WAY UP, and Michelle is watching a new release DVD in the home theatre. Their priorities are a JOKE. All he has to do is make a phone call and things would be fixed right away. A complete failure.

  4. I’m not sure how this comparison is relevant. There’s a big difference between winter weather that was worse than expected and a category 4 storm that was being tracked for days. Also, Obama is still in his honeymoon phase; he doesn’t “own” FEMA the same way that Bush Jr. did over 4 years after he was first elected. It’s been less than 2 weeks since January 20, remember?

Obama could simply blame FEMA’s weak response on the previous administration if he had to, but there’s no need for that at this early stage. Were this to happen 3-6 months from now, blaming Bush Jr. for “gutting” FEMA could be a valid excuse; further beyond that point, FEMA will become the 44th President’s property and all its success or failure will be his.

  6. Come on! I really don’t expect this kind of apples equals oranges partisan BS from you. Poorly written and reasoned and harping on old and fringe BS.

The real issue is the fact that even years AFTER Katrina, the governmental infrastructure that Obama inherits is woefully inadequate. Obama’s been in power for how long?

Hates white people, hates black people. . . just stop already.

  8. Wonderful column! I have been thinking the same thing for days and wondering when someone would have the courage to bring this up. And where is Sean Penn on his skis to go search and save people? Where are all the “stars” moaning, and the TV people? It’s just like all the other recent natural disasters where mostly white people lost everything - little to no help, and no protests. I have not heard one word from Obama about this disaster. I guess he has no compassion, and feels they can cling to their guns and religion to get through this. I have not even heard a plea for donations and I would give to this one. Kudos to you for this blog post!

Why should it be even necessary for FEMA to exist in the New Obamian Order? After all, His Majesty has decreed that he will “change the world” (not to mention “lower the seas”). Given that seeming amount of power, why hasn’t His Majesty simply waved away this emergency with a shake of his royal scepter?

  14. Here in Northern Arkansas, our town, a county seat, went without water four almost FOUR freaking days! All it would have taken was a couple of military generators to power the system.

Though we now have power (and water) in town, most of our county is still in the dark and cold.

Very few blacks live in our county, so…I suppose it’s fair to surmise that Obama does indeed hate rural whites in Bush country!

He probably wishes we’d all just go away…or die.

  18. Everyone needs to start sending emails to Glenn Beck, Shawn Hannity, Rush L., and Bill O. and demanding that they get tough on this. We need them to start asking why he is sitting on his ass eating $100.00 a pound steak rather than making a trip to the disaster area. We need to flood them with this until they have to mention it. They need to keep shouting about it until he has to do something.

  26. “It’s gonna take a long time to get FEMA back to what it was in the 90’s.”

From NewsMax re Jesse Jackson’s appearance on CNN’s show “Both Sides Now” in October 1999:

“It seemed there was preparation for Hurricane Floyd, but then came Flood Floyd,” [Jesse] Jackson began. “Bridges are overwhelmed, levees are overwhelmed, whole town’s under water. . . [it's] an awesome scene of tragedy. So there’s a great misery index in North Carolina.”

When Jackson asked what was being done for the thousands of families left homeless by Floyd after nearly a month had passed since the storm first hit, Witt said Bill ’s FEMA was “just beginning to address the problem.” And many of those thousands complained about the poor performance of FEMA.

Maybe we should just skip the 1990s, and 2000s, and actually make FEMA competent - FOR THE FIRST TIME! But, unfortunately, it’s not Wal-Mart or some of the other private organizations who provide tangible, effective and timely assistance after disasters; it’s a government agency. Competent government agency = oxymoron.

  27. Sorry, Rick but this is a poor comparison. Katrina was tracked for about a week before it hit. Also, President Bush was warned by the NOA days before about the levies. The result of Katrina was fully expected by the experts who advise the president. If you remember, that’s what a lot of people were really mad about.

You’re too smart to make this kind of argument, Rick. This is dishonest.

WTH is going on here? He is “Deeply Embarassed and Disappointed’??? How about irresponsible, deceitful and a dumb@$$

He keeps picking people that haven’t paid their taxes to ruin, I mean run our country. Throw in Janet Reno, I mean Janet Napalitano for Homeland Security???? This is gonna be a long 4 years…if he makes it that long!!!!!!

January 20th was the beginning of a new ERROR!!!!!

    Comment by LouisianaNative — 2/2/2009 @ 9:47 am

  29. ^What Tim said. Also also, it was already mainstream engineering knowledge for half a century that the New Orleans levees had failed numerous times, yet Bush was all DUURRRR WUT HYUK HYUK? Wake me when Obama says he never knew snow was cold.

But, hey, sure, let’s talk about those poor frozen people in Kentucky. Why don’t they have power? Because the iced-up tree limbs fell down and snapped the hanging powerlines. You know how you prevent that? With massive infrastructure programs to construct an underground power grid, which is what Obama proposed, but apparently it’s “socialism”, so conservatives would prefer people continue to die.

Very nice try - admirable spin. You should get a job at the DNC.

The “underground power grid” will take two decades to complete. How something Obama has only proposed could possibly be used to justify his inaction and apparent unconcern with the people of the Midwest who are suffering is beyond belief. Changing the subject won’t save Obama from being held to the same standard that Bush was held to - especially since the levies were ignored under both Democratic and Republican congresses and administration.

Why can’t you admit your man is blowing it his first shot out of the box?

  30. Not entirely persuasive, as several commenters have commented: you’re comparing a 13-day old administration’s response to winter to a 5-year old administration’s response to a hurricane.

Until Obama says the equivalent of “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job,” comparing the two is only going to legitimate the idea that the federal government should’ve been more involved in Katrina relief.

Now, I might agree with the idea that the federal government could’ve done more right off the bat–after all, Bush could fly home from vacation to try to intervene on the state-level in the case of Terri Schiavo, but was willing to sit back and merely complement his failing subordinates in the case of Katrina–but I don’t think that you would want to legitimate the idea that the federal government should be more involved in disaster relief because it just makes the Bush administration look more like a failure in that respect.

It appears that grasping irony is not one of your strong suits. Of course there is little to compare between the two - except the legions of lefties like you who have suddenly discovered that the feds have little business in the initial stages of disaster relief and that FEMA’s response is predicated on the condition of roads and bridges that would allow their massive relief efforts to reach the people most affected.

And the very nature of Katrina also disproves your point about Bush. No modern industrialized city has ever suffered the kind of destruction suffered by NO. None. Not London during the blitz (about 20% destroyed) or Tokyo during the fire bombings (about 30% gone) and not even Berlin (about 50%). More than 80% of NO was under water at one time. Katrina affected more than 570,000 structures with almost half - 225,000 - destroyed or condemned.

To believe Obama or Bush or any president with any level of a competent FEMA in existence could have dealt with that kind of disastser either in its immediate aftermath or even 3 years running is irrational (it took more than a decade to rebuild London and parts of Berlin in East Germany were NEVER rebuilt until reunification). But that doesn’t fit your tidy little narrative about Bush. Hence, the heavy handed, over the top irony of my post, showing your hypocrisy and the hypocrisy of those who used Katrina for political purposes.

  31. Speaking of Katrina.

I think we should take all the money allocated in the stimulus plan for STD prevention, the Obama re-election campaign (I mean, ACORN), etc. and give it all to Louisiana.

They can build the biggest big-ass big huge hurricane wall ever built in the history of man! A freakin’ Tower of Babel it could be. Think how many jobs could be created!

The downside to this idea, however, is I’m not sure if people in New Orleans actually want to work…….they are good dancers and make cool tombstones, though.

  32. Why can’t you admit your man is blowing it his first shot out of the box?

Like I said: show me where Obama said the equivalent of “Nobody could have foreseen that snow is cold.” You talk about other peoples’ “hypocrisy,” yet the whole point here is that Bush’s intellectual emptiness and cronyism made an already-guaranteed-bad problem just that much worse.

    Comment by TTT — 2/2/2009 @ 1:24 pm

  33. It appears that grasping irony is not one of your strong suits.

First, and totally free of irony, thanks for the reply; though we obviously have some different political beliefs, I think it’s important that we keep conversation open. (Otherwise I never would’ve posted in the first place.)

Second, as for the point of your original post (which, without its irony, I take to be: if it is ridiculous to lambaste Obama now, then it must have been ridiculous to lambaste Bush then–hence, liberals who attacked Bush are hypocrites for defending Obama), two things:

    1) you did not point out the irony of your post to people here who said conservative things that missed your irony, so I decided to take your post on face-value: as a thought-experiment to see what happens if we compare these two scenarios; and

    2) in order to make the case for hypocrisy you have to make the case for the comparability of the two scenarios (i.e., people feel different ways based on who is in charge even though they are confronted by the same scenarios); now, not only did your original post not make the case that these scenarios were similar, but you made the case that they are very different (which you emphasized in your response to me, on how Katrina is so much worse than a harsh winter).

(And as several of your commenters have pointed out, there’s a further incompatibility in comparing a 2-week old administration with a 250-week old administration (those numbers are rough, but help to point out that the difference is an order of magnitude).)

So, at the end of the day, we seem to be left not with a demonstration that liberals are hypocrites for supporting Obama even though he hasn’t responded aggressively to winter, but with an argument demonstrating that the two scenarios are totally different, and that comparing them only points out how different they are.

Which is to say, you go an awful long way to point out that two different things are different.

If, however, I’ve missed some of your irony, I’d be happy to be corrected; I admit that recognizing irony–especially over the internet–may not be my strong suit.

I don’t think any of the consevatives here missed the irony of the piece at all.

What we are finding quite humorous, however, is how quickly people like you rushed to make sure your Obama was defended, this while he and Sasha played hoops on the WH basketball court. He adores his daughters, and that’s why he loves his job, so he can hang around them all day. Or, haven’t you heard?

Perhaps next time the crisis will strike in your neighborhood, and you can join the worshiping crowds laying palm fronds at the Messiah’s feet when he visits.
