THE RACE TO POLITICIZE TRAGEDY

It seems faux progressives never miss a chance to dishonestly exploit any disaster for their illegitimate purposes.

Case in point recently, the ill-informed Harvey Wasserman, MUSE "activists" and their associated sycophants are still beating the drum against the non-military use of nuclear technology for electric power generation.

Note the photo on this page, suggesting the San Onofre nuclear reactors were being threatened by the southern California wildfires. Apparently their "logic" dictates that if a nuclear plant can be threatened by a wildfire in southern California, then we should never build another one anywhere on the planet.

For those whose world view and actions are driven by facts, logic and common sense, instead of by emotions, narcissism and idealistic wishful thinking, it wasn't difficult at all to get to the truth of the matter. If these folks are going to ply themselves and others with logical fallacies, at least they could have the good sense to start with verifiable facts.

THE CHASM BETWEEN US

Speaking of going off the deep end of idiocy, surely Greenwald must be suffering a case of "the bends" by now.

THE BROTHERHOOD OF LUNATICS

First, it must be said that I have a better shot of being the closer for the Chicago Cubs than the Muslim Brotherhood has ever had of taking over the country.

Same goes for the fear and loathing being manufactured by the left in regards to a "Christian theocracy" being established in America. Christians can't even agree on which version of the Bible is proper, much less coalescing to the point of supplanting our Constitution with it.

Certainly a large part of the problem have been short sighted policies promulgated by the relatively homogeneous, Christian governments of Europe that segregate the newcomers and deny them many of the benefits of living in the west.

Christian governments of Europe? Some shallow symbolism remains of what was once a deeply-held tradition, but in the practical sense the governments of "Great Britain, France, Holland, and Denmark" have been overwhelmed by secular influences over the past half century.

IS WAR WITH IRAN NOW JUST A MATTER OF TIME?

Now you're attempting to lecture people on history? You're a comical little dweeb, although too bad for you it's unintended.

Khomeini was on a collision course with Persian/Iranian constitutional monarchy, period. The way things actually played out was just one variation on a script which would have culminated in the same final act.

WHEN YOU THINK IDIOCY, "THINK PROGRESS"

#5

An unoriginal twit who's been trolling numerous conservative sites with simplistic "liberal" talking points wouldn't know the first thing about objectivity, much less being in any position to lecture others about maintaining balance in their choice of MSM sources.

Sites such as these which are maintained by the Center for American Progress Action Fund leave no stone unturned in their quest to hurl childish insults at "prudish" Republicans and conservatives. One might expect a bit more deep thought and incisive analysis to be produced by an "action fund" tethered to CAP, a think-tank financed to the tune of $25 million per year, but it's no better than what's coming from your typical dead-ender still living in one of their divorced parents' basement or drug-addled 60s/70s adherent still wandering around in a decades-old fog blaming others for their own inability to find "peace and love." Or maybe that's where these anarchist, communist, socialist and other anti-establishment types get their material?

Based on their 2005 tax return, CAP's 501(c)(4) "action fund" took in $1.7 million and burned through $1.4 million in contributions. (It may well be more per annum in subsequent years.)

One would expect an "action fund" being managed by an organization which is trademarking itself heavily with the word "progress" would have meaningful and positive results to show for $1.4 million, but alas all which can be found is a propaganda mill and an echo chamber.

Come to think of it, one nice byproduct is having all the nutty "liberals" who literally buy into this effluent practicing their "activism" while safely glued to their computers, instead of interfering with commerce and destroying property whilst rioting in the streets. Sane and rational observers can only hope the more imbalanced people in this group can get professional psychiatric help before their unhinged thoughts and behaviors start seeping out into the "real world."

LAYING IT IN ON THE LINE FOR PEACE

Your rebuttal presumes the "chickenhawk" argument is logical to begin with, which it is not, as articulated quite nicely by Christopher Hitchens several years ago.

More evidence that logic and reason are not your forte. Exposing the hypocrisy of those advancing the fallacious "chickenhawk" smear in no way supports their argument.

Lots of little words from the small mind of an ill-mannered dolt.

Gutless wonders like yourself were probably so absorbed with your own perceived moral superiority to realize that military men critical of Rumsfeld were telegraphing a plea for more enlistments AND not only talking to Bush supporters.

This image has not been photoshopped. Can you provide a rational justification for such profoundly ignorant behavior?
