I'm having a hard time reconciling this essay with your Oct. 31 post, "We Didn't Know." They look like posts by 2 different people, coming from 2 very different places. What am I missing?Changes wrought by Obama are going to be superficial. The change I write about above is much deeper and affects us in a much different and more impactful way.

On the immigration problem, the politicians in the senate can only hope that the voters forget that they were for amnesty come 2008. I think that John McCain will be the one who suffers the most.I also think that he will not get the nomination for president thus will try it as an independent. he is one doo doo bird!

I am a disgruntled Republican and very upset with some of our senators but I cannot see losing the senate as only 1/3 of them are running for reelection.If they were running as the house does then for sure they would lose mostly because their base will stay home.
The House is another thing and find it hard to believe that the Dems.will take over. The House is much more localized.

I think the conservatives will start a new campaign to try to challenge some RINO'S in future primaries but it's a very difficult proposition as most of our (moderates) come from left wing states such as Maine and Pa.

Oh how I'd like to see Arlen Specter ,Olympia Snow, and Susan Collins along with Chafee thrown out but they would just be replaced by a democrat. I think Mike DeWine will be defeated and Lindsey Graham wants to be vice president under McCain. But I'll vote for conservatives everytime.
Isn't it true that this lady (person) somehow got elevated to her position and no one knows exactly how? Just maybe that the same people who promoted her had something to do in hiring Joe Wilson.

Gee, the illegals only do jobs that we Americans won't do! Who in hell done them prior to this invasion? I don't think anyone in this country starved because we never had these people. This problem has been brought on by no other than the week kneed politicians and enablers who constantly give them the dollars to keep them in office to facillitate their constant wanting of MONEY! They are the only ones who benefit and don't believe that we would otherwize be paying $10.00 for a head of lettuce. Through all politicians out and what would we have? Replacements, just like the illegals.
