9/11: JUST A REAL BAD DAY

I think we have come to put 9/11 in better perspective after the six years or so. Like Pearl Harbor, it was a masterful plan, well executed. Like Pearl Harbor it was a one shot deal. Just as the Japanese couldn't make a sneak attack on us anymore the Islamic terrorists couldn't hijack planes using box cutters any more.
While I think Bell's comparison of Soviet dead in WWII is off base, I do think we initally overestimated Al Queda's strength.j
Sgt. Whitaker: your contention that people are either for or against the GWOT is ridiculous. Nobody doesn't support the war on terror, but many of us don't like some of the tools the Government has asked for to do the job.

KARBALA ATTACK: "A VERY DISTURBING DAY"

Seems the Iranians have been tried and convicted in the court of right wing bloggers.

ANTI-WAR PROTEST: WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Just when I start to think you represent the sane part of the 'right wing' movement (I refuse to call them convervatives) you publish something like this.
The Senators who voted for the resolution opposing the 'surge' are just sending a message to Bush: 'get it done, or get out'.
The Iraqis need to show some spine, or we won't waste more American live, period.

SUPPORT THE TROOPS: OPPOSE THE BIDEN RESOLUTION

I think you're missing the point: if those who opposed continuing this war really wanted to they could've cut off funding.
By not doing so, they are in effect supporting the 'surge' but also sending a message that this support cannot be counted on much longer.

THE "GLORIOUS" BURDEN

I think Bush is actually a very good speaker. He has the folksy, easy delivery sort of like Reagan did. The problem right now is that he's about run out of ideas, and he knows it.

WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND

I'd like to see some evidence that Iran is meddling in Iraq. Perhaps that's what this raid is about.

DEMS LOOK TO OPPOSE THE SURGE

They've got their left wing to try to placate, but I think they'll just posture. It's 7-0 in the last two minutes of the 4th quarter. All they have to do is run out the clock.
