Btw I am a confirmed anti intellectual. Navel gazing has gotten us into the state this country is in right now. Near a depression caused by our best and finest "minds". If this is what we get when we listen to "Intellectuals" give me less. Common sense is in very short supply amongst the "Intellectuals".

Hilarious...did you miss the part where the rumors are that Peggy Noonan is auditioning for a place in the Obama campaign? Kathy Parker is going to vote for Obama and David Brooks is as conservative as a Rockefeller...we know how many elections those Republicans won.

What is going on is that we are in the process of getting rid of those Republicans who wake up in the morning flip a coin to see which side they are on.

In the midst of a knife fight with a closet marxist some "conservatives" have chosen to stick their knives into the only person we have in the fight. Im just a country boy but that is just wrong. Those "conservatives" need to be punished.

George Will, Peggy Noonan, Kathy Parker, David Frum, Colin Powell, David Brooks are the sorts people who desert a person in a fight. Where I am from that is not behavior that should be rewarded with a second chance.

These "conservatives" are in effect standing up in the huddle of a football team behind by 6 on the 3 yard line with 10 seconds to go and instead of focusing on the opposing team they are moaning about their quarterback. Those sorts of folks should never be invited to play again.

Simply put, if Obama wins he is not my President. He will never be my President. He is an ugly character built wholecloth by the most evil force in America today, the mainstream media. I do not worship/follow/pay homage to the MSM creations.

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.”
– Romans 12:17-13:2

That worked out well for the millions under Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot and Mao.

Yea a guy who has lied about every sort of sordid relationship he has ever had in the past. A guy who drove one blogger to wonder if Obama had even one reasonable relationship that he could point to with pride...not of course Wright, Phleger, Kalid, Rezko, Ayers, Dorhn, and Frank Davis. A guy who started out as a Socialist and never looked back...a guy who has moved Michael Barone to declare the coming of the Thugocracy. A guy whose idea of free speech is he can say anything he wants and his opponents can listen and shut the heck up and sit down. A guy who called on his followers to get in their faces...yea this guy is YOUR President if he wins.

He is my enemy and will remain so until I successfully get him impeached or he loses in 2012.

Obama has played to win...we have played fair. The Left plays for keeps we play to feel good about ourselves in the morning. The Left plays to bury us...we play to allow them a chance NEXT time.

We beclown ourselves...the Left allows us to.

Thanks very much for the link Rick! Sorry that my site is still a bit wonky and not showing a trackback.

Just wanted to say that I do not absolve the Bush administration for its part in the continued incompetence of the CIA. Like Truman so famously said...the buck stops here.

While we can all acknowledge that it will be difficult to clean it up being difficult doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. As we saw it is a political battle royal and there will be casualties. Peter Goss had made a terrific start and his sacking was a tremendous blow. Hayden is a political hack whose loyalties lie with the Bureaucracy not with the American People.

Thanks againa for the link!

hehe...So you don't excuse the Republicans and Bush, but they still deserve a vote because then we can work within the machine to change them come next election, or next election or maybe never? So we vote in this election and then try and change a political machine that has completely ignored us at best and is lying to us at worst? You are an optimistic sort of guy eh?

Course according to you the immigration problem is a petty worry on our part eh? So is the spending problem...? So is that nasty habit of the Republican President of calling Islam the Religion of Peace..? The Repubicans need a wake up call and those of us who feel these are desperate times have no other leverage availible to us that will affect immediate change other than threatening to withold our votes. Indeed any comprimises so far on the immigration debate have come about not because people like you are promising to vote for them no matter what but because they are honoring the threat by people like me. But yourside of the debate demands, at the point of insults, that we throw that away and simply bow and say thank you sir may I have another!

And Rick why are you so angry? Why are all the people on your side of this split in the Republican party so darn angry? Its amazing to watch a bunch of people who want to convince people like me of your position whilst y'all call us all sorts of names. Is this some new form of mind control at work?

Still not impressed and becoming less and less impressed by the moment the more I learn of President Bush's lies regarding Immigration and Islam. This is a man I once thought could have walked on water. Not sure what happened to him perhaps everyone is right and his warts were there for all to see. Indeed right from the start he declared that Islam had been hijacked, I always thought this was some sort of tactic that he didn't really buy into, wrong. His stand on immigration has not changed one iota in all these years...even after 9/11. Even after his unfortunate dinners with terrorists...indeed right at this moment we are welcoming Saudi students back into the states.

But I am supposed to set all this aside and follow the party line...not likely no matter how many funny names I am called. But thats not what the Republican party will what they will miss are all the man hours put in by people like me manning the telephones and donating money. They are tossing that all aside to appease illegals from Mexico and Muslims from Saudi Arabia...I hope it works out for them.

And indeed I will speak out when the Dems get into power. I don't vote for the lesser of two evils.

Hey why don't you aim your slings and arrows towards those Republican Congressmen and Senators who are threatening to break up a winning streak by going against the wishes of those who sent them there.

And calling our fears regarding immigration petty is...pretty remarkable. Consider that during President Bush's term nearly 8 million people have crossed the border illegally. Thats not petty.

What is well and truly amusing though is watching how the people who are for Bush right or wrong, NEVER FAIL to call people like me names. Amazing...

Hint that doesn't make me more likely to vote them...

Typically well thought out and reasoned argument. Principle is important to me. Our nation is a nation of laws. I will not vote for anyone, nor will I donate and not one single moment of my time will be spent manning the phone banks for the Republicans should they normalize/assimilate/amnesty those who have thumbed their nose at our laws. Not a big loss to the Republicans I am sure, but regardless it is my intention to send a signal by not supporting those who betray my country.

Interesting post but doing nothing means that we allow them to supply weapons to terrorists who use those weapons to kill our soldiers. Which they have been doing since 1983. Seems that sooner or later we might need to deal with that sort of attitude.
