DEMOCRATS CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO HELP THEM SURRENDER
20 to 30 competently trained Iraqi brigades? That must mean they got somebody more competent

than Petraeus to do the training. Betray-us was an abject failure at getting Iraqis up to speed. Heckuva job.
DEMS NEW INDUSTRIAL STRATEGY: MANUFACTURING SCANDAL
Talk about manufacturing scandals! That's so rich. Remember Travelgate? Wooo Travelgate, what a huge scandal. Clinton fired some.... partisan travel agents.
There's an old Chinese proverb. "The fish rots from the head." That's the state of the current Republican party. The Bush/Rove/Cheney/Gonzalez gang are stinking up the place and their loyal band of supporters are going down with them. You brought it all on yourselves.

ABC NEWS CALL MONITORING: WHAT'S GOING ON?
DALLAS, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Let the bastards get a warrant if they want to spy on me. If they can't live within the law, they should be prosecuted. It's really so simple even the mouthbreathers should be able to grasp the concept.

CIA VS. THE WHITE HOUSE: TY COBB AIN'T NO BENCHWARMER
You guys really sound like a bunch of fascists. Mary McCarthy has the right to donate money to any political party. That has no bearing on the merit of the case against her. What is apparent is the concerted effort on the part of Porter Goss to rid the agency of any agents that don't share his political beliefs. People like him put democracy in more peril than any two-bit muslim terrorist ever could. We don't really know who leaked the information about the foreign torture prisons. It could quite possibly have been a conservative. The last I heard, the concern about America's place as a moral leader in the world cuts across party lines. That's why so many thinking Republicans have parted ways with the Bush administration.

Never Yet Melted said "If she’s innocent, it seems a curious coincidence that she’s got such a high-powered democrat party defense attorney defending her." Well I suppose when you have some very powerful people trying to put you behind bars it helps to have the best representation possible. That's how we do things in America.

I'm starting to get the picture now. She has connections to Democrats, so, since they need someone to pin the secret torture center leaks on, why not her? Kill two birds with one stone. Very clever, those Machievellians.

You've got Porter Goss in there destroying the CIA's ability to produce objective intel and you're obsessing about some lawyer, as if it makes a difference who represents whom. It's another head-scratching side issue so common on conservative blogs. Look, James Baker represented the Saudi royal family against the families of 911 victims, but you don't hear me going on about it obsessively. That's what lawyers do.
What's really happening is there's a war soing on between the intelligence community and Bush. It turns out that CIA agents aren't really happy with their new role as the players in Bush's homoerotic torture scenarios. The CIA has long held that torture is counter-productive, and rightly so. They also don't like the way Bush claimed "bad intelligence" rather than take the heat for his mis-characterizations (lies) about the intelligence he recieved on Iraq. On top of that, Bush's staff leaks the identity of a valuable NOC to the press, because her husband is not marching in lockstep with the war propaganda campaign. Bush retaliates to dissent within the CIA by sending in Goss, a died in the wool political hack, to purge the agency of Democrats and liberals, as if the CIA is some kind of hotbed of liberalism. This won't end well. Of course, nothing Bush touches ever does.

Wilson's crime... being a Democrat. I'm really sick of this new batch of Republicans. When some real Americans get back into the White House the first thing they need to do is fire Porter Goss.

Hey FemocratBasher. (possibly the most idiotic alias ever) Three Republican election workers were recently convicted for cherry picking votes in Ohio. Convicted, as in going to jail. As far as your claims about Chicago and Milwaukee, you've got nuthin'. Everybody with a brain knows this fact. REPUBLICANS HATE DEMOCRACY.

BEYOND SCANDALOUS: MIND BOGGLING CORRUPTION IN THE RECONSTRUCTION OF IRAQ
That's just Iraq. Just wait until people start becoming aware of the giant fiasco around the re-building of the Gulf Coast. The problem in a nutshell is that the people running the government don't believe in government and are terrible at it. Their only guiding principle is the lining the their pockets and the pockets of their cronies at the expense of the rest of us. There is a class war going on and it's not just between the rich against the poor and middle class, it's between the ultra-rich against everyone else. The conservative movement is dead. The end result of the Ayn Rand inspired greed revolution is a culture of corruption so deep and rampant, it threatens our way of life.
