BLACK BART RIDES OFF INTO THE SUNSET

Filed under: PJ Media — Rick Moran @ 10:45 am

PJ Media engaged my services this morning to write about Karl Rove’s impending resignation. You can find it here.

A sample:

But why the hate directed toward Karl Rove by the left? Rove may be the toughest political operative produced by either major party in quite a while. He was a combination hatchet man and back alley brawler. I disagree with those who believe he politicized the War on Terror. Certainly he didn’t hesitate to exploit the political advantages presented by the domestic obsession with security following 9/11. But there is a fine line between creating fear and using it for political purposes.

Rove did not create the threats we face. But he never hesitated to remind people of the differences between how the Democrats wanted to fight the War on Terror and how Republicans were managing the threats we face. I challenge any Democrat to say with a straight face that a president from their party would have acted any differently as far as exploiting the philosophical and political differences between the parties on the war. Terrorism is too easy an issue to hit a home run with the public. And like a batter who gets thrown a hanging curve ball, the temptation to swing and knock one out of the park is just too great. If the next president is a Democrat, watch for many of the same charges hurled by the left against Bush about politicizing the War on Terror to be echoed by the right. It probably can’t be helped in this age of polarized, partisan politics – something Rove rarely if ever tried to address in a positive way.

  1. I’m just happy that Rove and company have helped establish such a massively powerful executive. I’m sure all that power will work out great for the Democrats. He helped hand them the House and Senate last year, and he’ll do the same in 08. Way to go Turd Blossom.

  3. So Karl Rove outed Valerie. I thought everyone was saying it was Richard Armitrage. More Repub disinformation.

Based on what they say one would not think the Democrats would prosecute the War on Terror the same as the Repubs. Thanks for letting me know that they are just lying to us.

I now know the Republican Party was really lucky to win in 2000, 2002, and 2004 with such an incompetent as Rove aboard.

Thanks for the article. Very informative.

  4. Try coherence next time. It helps people believe you aren’t a complete idiot.

  5. Rick–While I enjoyed your article, I do have a request. Could you post or send me some links that indicate that K Rove did talk about Plame knowing that she was a agent and not just someone who worked at CIA? Also that if he did, was it beyond or within the time frame to talk about an agent by law. Or is it not ever legal or appropriate to talk about a former operative? Thanx and enjoy your posts–John—–Unfortuantly, most that have made Rove accusations are so imbued with BNS that it has been hard to give any veracity to their comments.

  7. The Left hates Rove cause he kept beating them at presidential elections. The Left can’t believe that the whole country doesn’t buy their BS, so the elite liberals envision conservatives as stupid Nascar fans or farmers. When they can’t beat farmers, they believe their must be a diabolical genius behind the curtains who’s orchestrating the hacking of voting machines and intimidating voters in order to win. Notice how during the mid-term wins by liberals that there were NO voting machine errors, NO voter intimitdation. Look for that to change when conservatives win again in 08.
