Right Wing Nut House

Being heartily sick of politics, I have decided to take a few days to recharge the batteries.

Every once and a while, the 14 hour a day grind gets to me and I have to step back and remove myself from the action for a couple of days. Nothing serious, I assure you. I very much wanted to write about GOP reform and the battle underway to cleanse the party of anyone deemed a RINO. I may do so on Sunday or Monday, whenever the spirit moves me to resume. Not blogging yesterday and today allowed me some precious time between my morning gig at AT and afternoon responsibilities at PJM. I got to see what Sue looks like these days - just before she heads off to Ohio for several weeks tomorrow to fill in for her daughter in law who is having surgery.

The prospect of a bachleorhood redux is depressing. I’ve grown accustomed to sharing responsibilities around here and it will be quite lonely without my Zsu-Zsu.

So come back Sunday or Monday. Or peruse the archives if you wish.

  1. Glad to hear you’re not under the weather! Your comments regarding your “one and only” are endearing…..remember, absence does make the heart grow fonder. :)

  3. Whenever you’re ready to blog again, we’ll still be here. Do have a good respite from the computer, there’s a rumor going around that Spring has sprung!

  5. Zsu Zsu, I am baffled, maybe the last to understand. Ebony, Snowball, and Eramus I can handle. Zsu Zsu I don’t fathom. Is that a person? Your partner? A mail-order bride? Some other pet?

I don’t mean to be impertinent.

    And who is roddymcorley?

Zsu-Zsu is short for Zsusanna. And yes, she was born in Hungary and came to the US during the Hungarian uprising.

Roddy Mcorley (RM) is the handle I use on twitter because someone took “Rick Moran.” McCorley was an Irish patriot hung during the 1918 Easter Rebellion (or one of the other Irish rebellions) and made famous in a song by the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem.

  6. Zsu Zsu is the Hungarian-born significant other. It is their version of Sue. Seems to me that those Eastern European women can be quite the lookers. I recall the host mentioning moving some time back.

  7. Eastern European women quite the lookers? You haven’t been there…Mercy! Yes they are indeed.

  8. 7. not the Russian babushkas that look like Nina Khrushchev. I dated a Polish lass who was incandescent though. But many people think Thai women are the ultimate. It does seem that Venezuelans win the most Miss Universe contests.

Actually I know a Venezuelan ex-pat Zsusanna here who originated in Hungary too. Sometimes I have to wonder what political/media beauties like Helen Wood, Janet Reno and Madeline Albright looked like in their youths. The thought is enough to swear off thoughts of sex.

  9. Humor provides some relief from burn out… you might hit the link below for a bit of a laugh. A 12-step plan for former obama worshipers might provide some ideas.
