A SHORT DETOUR INTO CHICAGO'S SAVAGE HISTORY

It's a normal day on the college campus nowadays.

WHO HAS THE POWER?

I think the party is headed for the kind of purging that happened in the Goldwater revolution, which laid the stage for Reagan and broke the grip of the northeastern RINOS. The latter, as hardy as cockroaches, look to regain the levers of power once again meaning the house must once again be burned down to drive out the vermin. As for your larger point, I think a lot of Republicans -- God bless 'em -- believe McCain's lies about what he'll do to control illegal immigration.

THE DEMOCRAT'S "WONDER BREAD" NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY

All this can be traced back to George Bush and his blunders, including keeping Rumsfeld long after it had been shown he had made crucial mistakes. Better to stand by friends and allies and bad appointments like Bremmer and Brownie than be "disloyal." The Republican Party is in shambles now and don't look for the restoration to begin until after McCain has lost. Obama will appoint Supreme Court justices from the left to replace the aged parties hanging on until a new administration and so Bush's legacy will be with us for decades.

A SHORT BUT PITHY NOTE ON ACHIEVING THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 54

The next stage is you will increasingly become invisible to society. You never looked at old people either, so the justice is as we say poetic. Finally, you read about the sexual predator in the Ohio nursing home who buggered all the old gents. That too.

NARROWING THE FIELD

The people who say they'll vote Democrat because lazy Fred got what he deserved are the ones you see sans noses, the olefactory organ having been bitten off to spite their faces.

THE GOP RACE IS A MESS

If the Democrats pick Obama they're going to be sorry when the Afrocentric church -- read "anti-white" -- he belongs to in Chicago gets looked at more closely. The pastor makes Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson look like Uncle Toms.

BLOGBURST FOR FRED: MAN THE OARS AND START PULLING

Fred is as washed up as the candidate of the tinfoil hat wearing followers of Ron Paul, recently revealed as the author of a newsletter that would do David Duke justice. Fred's problem is the Senate made him lazy and he never did shake it off.

CLINTON WINS, PUNDITS LOSE

I seem to recall you had him in the White House not so long ago.

The article is about Hillary. Who is "him?"

THE COTTON CANDY CANDIDACY

This Obama bender will pass and people will sober up. For all the jumpers along JFK's parade routes, he beat the unattractive Richard Nixon in what was then the closest race in modern history. JFK's brief presidency was notable for glamor and his inability to make good on his promises. His reelection was by no means in the bag.

COULD CONSERVATIVES WORK WITH A PRESIDENT OBAMA?

Talk about a paper tiger! Obama wins a primary and you already have him in the White House and conservatives hoping to find a way to work with him.
